‘Triphasic’ shampoo / serum as a replacement for topical Minoxidil?

I was recently told that ‘Triphasic’ (comes as a shampoo or serum) can work as an effective hair stimulant, and works similarly to  topical minoxidil without the possible side effects. Has anyone used it before / know if it’s any good?

thanks.
