Odd request from clinic, is this normal? "Can you take a video and show your frontal and mid-scalp area while holding a pen?"

This is from a pretty reputable clinic talked about in this forum. I have already sent them a lot of photos and videos, and then they asked me to send this last one.

What is the significance of holding a pen, why would they ask that?

That's just weird. Just ask them why you need to hold a pen?

I never once got told to do anything other than ensure the hairline was visible from the front, 3/4 profile views of the left and right as well as a picture of the donor.

Must be Dr Gur

I was only asked for hair photos and a video showing donor area running a comb by Dr Turan.

Regardless too damn weird hahaha, even if it’s for checking something this sort of checking should be done at clinic I think

Interesting, sent them the video, odd, but I guess it's good they're being diligent?

I was asked and already sent a video of me running a comb through my donor area which makes sense to me but yeah no clue how the pen helps or what I'm supposed to do with it besides hold it next to my head.

I would think they could rule out a troll after the comb video as well but who knows. Maybe they also just want to filter out non-serious inquiries.

Perhaps people have been sending them videos of other people that isn't them.
