Regular Member Mixed93 Posted September 21, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted September 21, 2022 (edited) Hey guys. Is it normal to be asked to pay the entire balance of a hair transplant procedure a month prior to actually having the surgery? I know a deposit is mandatory but paying for everything before even having the procedure makes me a bit nervous, especially as I will be having it abroad etc. I’m just wondering if this is standard practise? thanks Edited September 21, 2022 by Mixed93
Regular Member Speoj Posted September 21, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted September 21, 2022 A down payment as a deposit is standard as you say but full payment a month in advance is a bit of an ask. Which clinic?
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted September 21, 2022 Administrators Share Posted September 21, 2022 Usually you don’t pay until a day or two before the procedure. Regular Member Mixed93 Posted September 21, 2022 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 21, 2022 @Speoj @Melvin- Moderator thanks that’s what I thought. I thought the deposit would be enough, just doesn’t really leave me with any security if I were to pay a whole 21 days in advance. I’ll enquire with the clinic.
Senior Member 1978matt Posted September 21, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted September 21, 2022 All of mine were a week in advance, possibly the last was 2 weeks. Pay by credit card if it's money you could not afford to lose. There may be a percentage fee however. 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Regular Member Buck Naked Posted September 21, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted September 21, 2022 1 month in advance is definitely unusual. Which clinic is this? I agree with others, use a credit card!
