Very good coverage!  It takes a lot of care and planning to cover an area that was COMPLETELY bald.

While most people will be impressed with the result, I am very impressed with how the donor looks. Completely untouched and very clean extractions

Well done

The transplant is great, but in the context of most of Freitas's work, I think this isn't as good and should've had the patient pay for more grafts, the top is definitely looking like doll hair in the video with the gaps being really large. In the context of before and after, this is a great transformation, but this work itself is concerning given that most of Freitas's work is really high quality and dense. Not sure why this patient didn't opt for more grafts or push to have more grafts, unless costs were a blocker.

@propeesha I think the coverage for graft count is very impressive and the hair looks reasonably dense to me, even in the wet comb-through, so I'm not sure that too few grafts is the issue. Unfortunately, there's also a pretty obvious multi-hair graft placed right in the center of his hairline, so I think the doll hair effect you're seeing might be the choice to use some pretty chunky grafts in the front, and maybe too few singles?

I think this work illustrates the reality with hair transplants. This also illustrates why comparing people is useless. No two people are the same, this patient has medium thickness, as opposed to thick hair. He also has a large degree of hair loss. If you don’t think this is good, I would urge you to reconsider surgery.

Absolutely incredible result for under 4k grafts and a large slick area. It all looks so natural and a beautiful hairline. I think a touch up of 1k grafts over the same area would go a long way with such a skilled surgeon but maybe the patient is happy as it is and that would also be understandable.

I specifically talked about the front hair line and how I saw more gaps than usual in his work. I don't usually see this type of quality in the work, I totally understand every patient is different and their hair thickness is different, but regardless it does look way less packed than some of the other patients he's had work done. There are other examples of thinner hair types that I've seen with great results from Freitas, so my main point was, was this due to the patient using less hairs as costs were a blocker as that is more likely why the doctor was forced with less in this case? I ask because I see myself going to Freitas potentially and would want to know that lower number of grafts increase the risk of having a more sparse/"doll like" look and that more hairs in the first surgery is the best course of action, OR doing a follow up filling procedure is needed for cases to further get thinner hair types to really get the density that thicker hair types may get on their first surgery. It's not a knock on the work, its a totally valid question to ask and point out. I expect this to be a forum where we can ask questions like this, and not just blindly complement EVERY transformation given people are paying a lot of money here, and maybe some should budget more if we are seeing inconsistencies in the results.

Dunno what your smoking lol. The guy was slick bald, you really are fishing in my opinion. I personally think it's great work, although his donor is very strong and that is one of the main factors that determine a hair transplant being good as well as graft survival.

You can do a consultation here: https://hairtransplantnetwork.com/dr-rafael-de-freitas

Btw atm it takes 2 months for dr Freitas to evaluate cases so be prepared to wait a bit..

That's fair, given he was slick bald, this transformation is insanely good nonetheless.

I don’t understand how this patient is classified as a norwood 3. There is no frontal tuft

It probably falls under the A classification. i.e. 3A/4A/5A. But the loss goes way deep from the pictures and he's got miniaturization throughout the entire midscalp. For sure that's gotta be like a 4A/5A though probably they're treating it like a 3A since the rest can be addressed with fin

Exactly, it’s textbook 4A, not a 3; the entire frontal third is gone

The hair is WET in the video, the density is laudable.
