Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 14, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 14, 2009 Hairdoyle, Could you please tell us which doctor in Ireland quoted you 17,500 for 1500 grafts? (or is 17,500 a typo?) That's a disgrace.
Senior Member Chuckisduck Posted January 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2009 That sounds like the guy in UAE's pricerange. The are a bunch of good Docs, depending on what you want done. My Hair Loss Blog - Hair Transplant with Dr. Keene
Regular Member hairdoyle Posted January 15, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2009 sorry I did make a mistake with price... American 2000 = 8500 (6600 euro) Ireland 1500 = 19800 (15000 euro)
Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2009 That's still 10 euro per graft at todays rate thats 13 usd. I feel sorry for any guy who visits him. They are charging 7 euro 30 cents more then Dr. Feller (just over 9 usd more per graft/at todays rates) Hairdoyle, was the Doctor in Ireland not refering to FUE and Dr. Feller's price given for a strip? Senior Member Petchski Posted January 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2009 Dr Feller is one of the most competitively priced out of the top Docs, no point in trying to choose a Dr by price, reputation and proven results should be the guide -------------------------------------- My Hair Loss Website - Hair Transplant with Dr. Feller Dr Feller Jan '09 2000 grafts Dr Lorenzo Dec '15 2222 grafts
Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2009 I agree to some extent, but when a doctor (who is yet to be named) is charging over $9 per graft more compared to some of the worlds leading surgeons, you have to stop and ask why. Regular Member hairdoyle Posted January 15, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2009 I am looking for the best/price does not come into it I mentioned it as feller seems great and had to also point out he is cheaper its a bonus
Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 15, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2009 I'm not meaning to hijack your post Hairdoyle, but I believe it's important to point out just how over-priced this doctor in Ireland is - to save guys from getting into massive debt, for no reason. Your estimated grafts alone with this doctor would cost you $11,300 more for 500 grafts less (compared to Dr. Feller). Also like many others price does come into it with you or it did. Quoting from your initial post. I am from Ireland and am booked to have a procedure with the best here but he is so expensive! Can everyonr be HONEST and tell me where is the best and most cost effectiev doctors in the world as I am prepared to travel.

Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 16, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 16, 2009 Hey HairDew, Hairdoyle is not referring to Bisanga, in his first post he speaks of a doctor in Ireland who is so expensive, he then goes on to say in a later post he is ... Looking into Dr.Feller in New York or Dr Bisanga in brussels... I also asked if this doctor in Ireland wasn't referring to FUE and your comparing that price with Dr. Feller's strip? As I received no response we can only assume that this is not the case. On a side note, from all I read on these forums, prices in US are a lot less (including travel expenses) I found that the actual procedure can be cheaper, but come on - $11,300 more for 500 less grafts? Also, with the clinics that were cheaper than UK ones after travel expenses, you were spending roughly the same money (personally I would still choose to travel than stay in the UK). Also Hairdew, just to inform you - Bisanga does indeed do strips (FUT), he was a doctor I was looking into pre-op and I was even given a price from him for FUT. http://www.bhrclinic.com/html/strip.htm

Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 16, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 16, 2009 Hairdoyle, Congratulations on your up-coming surgery with Dr. Feller, you have made a good choice and will be in excellent hands. Spex wrote a excellent post for pre and post-op. Here's the link: HT TIPS I was able to go out the next day, but some feel it necessary to rest the following day. I would also take a good selection of hats and bandanas, as my cap didn't fit on the first day due to swelling. (loose fitting hats nothing to tight/snug) Hairdoyle, I am happy you have got the answers you were looking for and found a good doctor, however, I feel a little give and take would be nice. Is there any reason why you keep ignoring posts from myself and others who are asking for a little information? Namely, who is the doctor in Ireland that is so expensive? Where did you hear he was the best in Ireland? and also, are you not confusing his prices with FUE? As you are no longer visiting this doctor, I see no reason for you not to share this information - please think of the guys in situations like you were, who may be thinking of visiting this over-priced doctor (If you have not made a mistake in the pricing). It would be nice of you to answer these questions or atleast explain why you would rather not. Of course there is no obligation for you to do so, but it would be helpful to others. haircare1
i think HAIRDOYLE you are a liar this is why you wont answer maxxy and latinlotus i think there is no doctor in ireland and this is why you ignore them if it is not a lie then you are a very very ignorant person maxxy and others have been nice enough to answer your questions and you just bluntly ignore them ignorant liar do you agree maxxy
Senior Member Maxxy Posted January 18, 2009 Senior Member Share Posted January 18, 2009 Welcome Haircare1, You have such a way with words lol. I agree it's shame Hairdoyle has chosen not to answer the question we have asked, however, I'm not going lose any sleep over it. Is he in your words an ignorant liar, thats not for me to decide. Maybe you could send Hairdoyle a private message to address your concerns.
Regular Member hairdoyle Posted January 18, 2009 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 18, 2009 Firstly I am amazed you calling me a liar as I am here looking for advice!!!! I will not be putting up photos as I am too self/conscience with having my pictures on the forum,I have notice that a lot of people dont put photos up/once I have the procedure done I will talk to Dr,Feller about putting photos up with my face blanked out(I will decide then) The reason I have not mentioned the Dr was because I was not sure if I was going to spend the money and have it done with him as I have researched him fully and he is very good or if I was going to go abroad for the procedure!I did not want him to be reading here that I mentioned his name etc!! Anyways the doctor is Dr ,Maurice Collins in Blackrock clinic ,County Dublin..Ireland. I would put up the link but I am not sure how, once you google you will see.. he charges 11 euro per graft but I got a quote last year of 10 euro so he stuck to that and was going to do 1500 hairs = 15000 euro... in dollars that is at todays rate 19,909 compared to Dr Fullers 8500 dollars for 2000 hairs I had a date with Dr Collins and its been cancelled/I have my appointment details here if anyone wants to see it/email me and i will sent it to you... I am a grown man but I would be a little concerned of young kids coming on here looking for help/advise and then being attacked/bullied ,as this does not help anyone I do not like to be called LIAR/IGNORANT so I hope this clarify things...
