Regular Member hairyharry Posted April 20, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted April 20, 2022 How do you sleep after an FUT the first week while waiting for the follicles to take root? I sleep on my side and stomach but concerned I'd knock the follicles loose during the night. Also, I've read on the forum some folks sleep upright after the FUT for the first couple of nights but my surgeon said just sleep on my back with an extra pillow. Any suggestions for the best and safest way to sleep the first few nights/week after the FUT?
Moderators Al - Moderator Posted April 23, 2022 Moderators Share Posted April 23, 2022 If you are only doing hair line work then you can get away with sleeping on your back with an extra pillow. The further you go into the mid scalp and crown then you need to be sleeping more upright. I slept in a recliner chair the first few nights with a neck/travel pillow and that worked fine for me.
