Hair Transplant Experiences Query

DNN

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am fairly new to this forum and have only been following the content over the last 15-20 days. I was quite impressed with all the feedback and genuine responses. I have been struggling with hair loss issues for the past 4-5 years resulting in aggressive balding and have finally decided to have my 1st HT in Australia next month(2400 grafts/16,500AUD). I did a lot of research and had 10's of consultations (in-person) in India as well as in Australia.

To begin, I want everyone to understand that HT is not just only about surgeons. One need to consider lot of factors involved in this progressive journey like price, travel, duration, quality, medication, follow-up, expectation, age, accessibility, recovery etc.., Here, in this forum, most of them are genuine in sharing their views and experience and I expect everyone to understand that this is a good platform to share facts and real time experiences. Also, people sharing their views in this forum is not to give any publicity to a certain clinic. As every pill gets a certain approval, choosing a surgeon has certain approvals from boards like ISHRS and ABHRS.

I don't want to mention the clinic or surgeon names but a few guys promoting certain clinics which I too agree that they are one of the best surgeons in India and world as well. My straight question to those people is simple; when you ask others about certain details like price, clinic and surgeon name most of them explained very clearly about their experience. If someone asks you the same query regarding the procedure your response is so biased you're not revealing the price instead a couple of guys said they have opted for a premium package which means 350rupees/graft i.e., 7$/graft as per their website. One guy mentioned he has undergone HT roughly about 8,600 odd grafts which means 60200 AUD (3010000 INR). Did you spend 60,200 AUD!!!!!! or do you expect others to spend the same amount? In my opinion, the surgeons in Australia will or would have rejected your case for sure if they operate ethically.

My sincere request to the moderator is to not be biased and if someone recommends a particular surgeon how can you say that he is disrespectful to the forum? I think you guys are being disrespectful without being honest about your prices. I expect a genuine response from those people about their procedure so that it can be helpful to others.
To all members, please try to understand my point of view, I'm only trying to express my views about some people that aren't being entirely honest which beats the purpose of this forum.

I only ask you to understand and respond and not react harshly.

All I have to add is that this is your first post and you have only been following the content for 15-20 days then I understand why you are choosing to have surgery in Australia? I've spent 37 years doing my research here in Australia and it's not that nothing has changed. It's just that it's actually gotten worse. Which surgeon have you chosen in Australia for your transplant? Who were the 10 surgeons in India/Australia that you had in person consultations with? Can you provide photo's of your current hair loss from the past 4-5 years and the surgeon in Australia that you have chosen for your surgery to have 2,400 grafts for $12,400 USD? And it was 8,725 grafts. Not 8,600!

That's why I mentioned the word "ROUGHLY" and I agree that I'm new to this forum but not to my own research. I am not recommending people to get surgery in AUS and I just said I have planned it just because it works and suits my lifestyle. You are so keen to know about the surgeon, so am I to know the price you spent on your surgery.

Listen, I get it. Eugenix definitely has a fan club here. The Moderator and many other very active members have pulled the trigger with them. This obviously forms some bias towards the clinic since they went there and found the service an enjoyable experience.  Some have great results, others are still waiting for their results to grow. So while I agree, Eugenix gets promoted by many here, I'm not sure it's not warranted. These same members promote other clinics as well though so it's not like I see them tell every person to go to Eugenix.

As far as people being honest, I'm not sure what you mean by this? I'm guessing you asked people how much they paid and they won't tell you? Does that change how much you'd pay? Or are you accusing them of getting discounts? I guess I'm not sure what you are saying here?

I have no idea what this ramble is about, if you wanna go to Australia to have surgery that’s fine. We don’t sell hair transplants here, we educate. Asking someone else what they paid means absolutely NO sense for you! Why? Because you may require a completely different number of grafts. The only way to know how much it will cost is to submit your own consultation.

There are several clinics that get praised here many don’t have any affiliation, like Ferreira, Cuoto, Hattingen, to name a few. Their patients are praising them for good work, I see nothing wrong with this, and this is why the forum is impartial. Anyone can post a review about any surgeon. It is up to you to do your due diligence and research. No one is trying to push anyone upon you. Strange first post.

If you share your views here on how your hair transplant turned out, you are giving publicity to a certain hair clinic, good or bad.

I went to Eugenix and had a remarkable experience (still having it!) Would love others to have the same in their journey but it doesn't have to be at Eugenix. There are some great clinics showing on here: Dr. Pittella in Brazil is one that I also like to follow. And Dr. Zarev - who is not affiliated with this site.

That's what makes this site so resourceful. The WOW clinics are getting some love and so they should be - they are not hair mills.

Personally, one of the last places in the world I would get a HT from would be Australia.

You could opt for one of the best HT surgeons in the world in Spain and pay a max of $11,000 AUD for 2500 grafts.

In any case, I wouldn't worry about who is paying for what. I'm sure if you reach out to different clinics they will provide you with firm pricing based on your particular situation. I doubt a clinic would be offering special discounts for some and not for others. And even if they are, would you feel comfortable in working with a clinic like this?

Best of luck on your journey, hoping you get a great result whoever you choose.

To add further light to the situation here I have received a DM from a 21 year old who is a Norwood 1.5 and is on Finasteride and minoxidil. He has had consultations with hair transplant surgeons in Sydney and Melbourne. The surgeons have ‘AGREED’ to operate on him (despite his age) and for 1,000 -1,500 grafts he is being quoted $15,000 AUD!!! PLEASE do not get surgery here in Australia!!!!!!! I receive lots of DM’s like this all the time. It really makes me angry that these cowboys get away with this on young, vulnerable guys today like they did with me at 18. Rant over!

Don't worry. The emoji should just be a picture of me from the age of 18! 🤬 😉

I would like a “sigh here we go again emoji” everytime some asks “best/cheapest place in Turkey/Istanbul” question 😉
