I also heard that. But, as I mentioned, age also matters. I have just seen an another thread (also Dr. Bicer's patient who is now 5 months after the surgery) and after one month our friend had much more hair than I at this stage.

What can I say? I still look a bit funny haha. 3.5 weeks, I will cut my hair and hope to look almost the same as before the surgery. The worst part will be over :)

Yeah, shock loss sucks. It can take a few months to fully recover, but it will.

As already said... this is the peak of the worse part. For me, it didn't look "as good as before the transplant" until month 3.5 or so. But at month 4, it took off.

Just try to laugh it off for now. Trust the process.

Hi guys, 2 months ago I had my first HT. I would say I'm in the funny-looking phase but in three days I will have my first haircut. I hope it will help a bit.

The right side of my donor area still didn't recover but it's much better so I'm not afraid for now.

Recipients areas are still more sensitive, especially the crown. Sometimes it's just itchy (but VERY itchy) and sometimes sore. I don't know how to call it. It's not pain but some kind of mix of very small "pain" and itch.

10 weeks update with three comments:

1. I have a new phone so it may not be so easy to compare previous photos with new ones haha.

2. Dr. Bicer told me that I should take photos in natural light as bathroom photos have the most difficult conditions but to be able to compare the journey I feel I need to keep the environment stable :D Still, I add 3 photos with natural light.

3. I had my first haircut.

Last week I also bought Toppik. Just wow. I won't stop using it.

So, I am still waiting and hoping for first visible (even small) improvement in a month.

Hi, this is my last 2-weeks update. Three months have passed and I can say it's better. When I use Toppik, I feel pretty good. On the other hand, I'm worried about the crown. When I compare my current photos with the ones from September 21 (https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/61039-dr-bicerdr-demirsoy-3000-3500-grafts) I know I have less hair now on the top and I don't know if it's because the surgery (as a part of the process because I should got back all my old hair, right?) or I just have lost it due to my hair loss.

Anyway, maybe in a month I will have something to show off :)

Looks good. Im about on 3 months and 2 weeks or so and i can dee the growth. Still patching here and there and not full. Is it the same for you?

Hi :) Yes, I would say so. I can definitely see two spots which are pretty bald. The problem is I cannot tell if those spots have grafts transplanted or not. If not, I'm just loosing hair haha.

Well, as I said before, my midscalp was not touch, I'm almost 28 and I know I will loose density there. But now I just need to wait another 8-10 months to see the final result. Then I will start thinking about the second turn.

I've read a lot of threads here and I know the term of seasonal hair loss after a surgery. After the phase of shedding I was loosing almost no hair which was very nice but now my sink is full of hair after using minoxidil :( I really hope it's just seasonal but I also have to admit I had a lot of weeks full of stress lately... We will see.

Bicer is considered the GOAT by many users on this forum therefore this procedure should be a homerun

GOAT is a bit of a stretch. I think Dr Couto is GOAT status for most people

Dr Bicer is considered very good though

Of course. I was just trolling and kidding a little bit.

I agree with you. Bicer is good. Best option if you are on a budget for sure but certainly not comparable to the elite surgeons. She is a bit hyped on this forum. But she's good and consistent.

Couto is amazing too. I talked about him many times. I like his work and I always recommend him but in all honesty he is also way overhyped. But I just don't think he is necessarily better than Pinto,  Ximena, Ferreira etc...

Just like everyone I've seen the excellent cherry picked results on his youtube channel but I've also seen a couple average ones on the italian and spanish hairloss forums !

That said he is an amazing surgeon and I like him.

Ok, 16 weeks/4 months update. I can see a huge difference between 3rd and 4th months which is really nice :) As I mentioned in my latest post, two spots miss density but I hope I will be manage to cover them. I guess now the best part starts.
