Dr. Arocha | 2500 graft FUE on an AGA NW 4/5

Recommended Posts

This patient came to see Dr. Arocha, and at the time of his consultation, he was an AGA NW 4/5. Dr. Arocha and team did a 2500 graft FUE procedure with a .7 mm punch to restore the hairline and the frontal region with a conservative approach that still leaves him with additional donor if he wants to increase density. They did a PRP at the time of the procedure. These after images were taken nearly 4 years after his procedure.

Sorry but, I have to say I do not like the outcome of this result, even if it's 4 years later... 😔

I think with 2500 grafts, that hairline should have had a much better result.

Thanks for sharing and being honest and transparent about your work.

Zinedine,

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We feel that it is important to show all kinds of hair restoration outcomes. The result is always dependent on the available donor hair characteristics at the time of procedure. Hence, a procedure on a patient with thick caliber hair will look much thicker than on someone with finer hair. Curls and contrast also help to create a thicker-looking hair restoration outcome. It is also important to remember that few, if any, with androgenetic alopecia stay stable or improve without the recommended medical treatment. In some patients, the treatment only slows the progress. This patient has had progression of hair loss over the four year period, but what is important to note is that his result still looks natural and improved, although not thick.
