Spicy Rice
I am 4 weeks out from my surgery and I had itched my head gently and unknowingly scratched off some dead skin I had left on my scalp. When I scratched off the dead skin, I noticed that it was bleeding a bit. Did I scratch out some hair grafts?
Senior Member Fue3361 Posted January 25, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2022 No; 4 weeks is waaay too late for that to happen. This is only possible during first week. 1 Check out my journey here:
Rahal Hair Transplant
The new transplanted grafts are firmly secured and the follicles are deeply rooted underneath the surface of the scalp approximately one week after hair transplant surgery. Therefore, scratching your scalp isn’t going to remove any of the transplants so you’re safe. That said, if your scalp is overly itchy, inflamed or irritated I wouldn’t keep scratching it. Try applying aloe vera or vitamin E oil to your scalp a couple times a day which will help with this and also help with any postoperative redness and pimples. best wishes, Rahal Hair Transplant 1 Rahal Hair Transplant Institute - Answers to questions, posts or any comments from this account should not be taken or construed as medical advice.
