Is this transplant from Eugenix a bit conservative (1200-1500 grafts)?

So I booked a consultation with Eugenix and provided them with some photos. They sent my frontal photo back with the transplanted area marked as seen below. Is the design a bit too conservative? Also, I started taking minoxidil about a year ago which is where most of the fine hair on my hairline comes from. Not sure if they took into account whether I'd lose that hair before a transplant before giving the graft count.

They also didn't incorporate my temples into the design. Since it would only be 1200-1500 grafts could I go for a lower hairline? I definitely want the temples to be pushed forward a bit.  Photos of temples attached.

I don’t know how old you are but I definitely wouldn’t want a hairline more aggressive than the one suggested to you by Eugenix. You have to grown into your hairline over many, many years. Not grow out of it. All the best!

What about the temples? Also, I'm 27 and turning 28 in March.

Looks good I think, not even sure it was ever that low from before you started losing hair.

You have pretty good hair aswell to be honest, you dont really need a hair transplant, but if you really want I guess its ok to do a small one like that. I wouldnt touch my hair if I looked like you.

Might be the camera angles reducing the extent of loss.  My temples have actually receded by quite a bit.

Here are some pictures of my hair from a year ago taken from a hair clinic (Belgravia Centre), where you see how much recession there was. Also notice the single hair strand in the second pic, don't think my hairline was that low but it probably was lower than what the transplant will give me.  This was just a month before I started using minoxidil.

Yes now I see better with these photos. Yes a smaller procedure of like 1000-1500 should be enough to cover these smaller recessions. You are hiding it pretty good though with your haircut, I had like double the size of your temples before I did anything.

If you wanted to significantly lower it, we’re talking 3k grafts or more.  That would leave you little to work with if you got more bald in the future.

I’d only do it if you are done losing hair and have stabilized.

myself I did 3.3k grafts to lower just forehead, but I won’t lose my other hair so it made sense for me.

I'm still losing my hair but the rate might have slowed down. I'm not taking finasteride due to sides so I probably won't go for a much more aggressive hairline than the one they gave me. Maybe a cm more at most.

How many grafts do most people have on average from the donor zone?

I'm not an expert on this, but you could theoretically find a surgeon willing to give you a lower hairline with the idea of using beard and body grafts for future work if you lose more hair.  But a lot of top surgeons probably wouldn't agree to this since their approach of being conservative with the hairline is the safer bet.

And I'd never go for an inferior surgeon just because he agrees on an approach the good surgeons won't agree on.  There's a reason they usually say "no".  But never hurts to ask and discuss such options.

I might ask Eugenix if they can lower the hairline by .5-1cm more. Not going to risk going for a worse surgeon just for a slightly lower hairline. Definitely want my temples to be worked on though.
