Hi guys,

Thought I would post some updates as I am now 13 days post op.

It seems to be healing quite well and I love the hairline. Actually quite like the look as it is!

The sleeping on my back was torture as was the swelling but that is all gone now, so much happier :)

I will post another update in a couple of weeks time (1 month post op) and try to do one each month thereafter.

Of course, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask!

p.s A special shout out to Ian who works with Dr Bisanga. He has been great since I 1st contacted him, probably a couple of years ago now and is always there if needed. Both him and the rest of the team were fantastic!

This looks superb. Soooo clean, and such a nice hairline design. Bravo Bisanga.

Thanks for sharing. Cant wait to see the evolution and the final result.

Hi guys, hoping everyone is well?!

Thought I would do another update as I am now 1 day shy of 9 weeks or approx 2 months since my procedure.

Not much to report to be honest. Little growth and one side looks weaker than the other.

Still not had my hair cut so it looks pretty awful at the moment, and still wearing a cap most of the time outside including the gym.

I'm still taking finasteride 0.5mg per day, and I am now taking oral minoxidil. I was prescribed 2.5mg tablets but I have been cutting these in half so far, to get used to them.

I have been on the oral minoxidil for just over 2 weeks so far and no side effects.

It's time to remain patient and trying not to think about it as much as I can.

I will do my next update towards the end of January.

Of course, if anything stands out from the photographs please feel free to share.

And I hope everyone has a great Christmas & New Year!

Also, I haven't had any product in my hair since the before my op.

Would it be safe to use a little wax now?

Thanks

Best to check with Dr Bisanga but I imagine this shouldn't be a problem at all from here. I know there is some debate about whether to start using hair fibres too soon on newly transplanted areas. So when the new hairs start popping through, there's maybe some considerations around using product on them too soon or too heavily. Different Docs will be have different takes but Bisanga is one of the best about so I'm sure he'll have an authoritative take on this as you move forward.

Donor has healed well, looks like the ugly duckling phase is over. You’ve already turned the corner.

Hi everyone,

How can it be 3 months since my procedure already lol

Anyway, I am 3 months to the day, so thought I would post another update.

I have been to the barber for the 1st time today.

Only got a grade 3 on the back & sides as just wanted a tidy up, and already it is a massive improvement. (no more hats)

Still not put any products on my hair yet either.

The barber thought it looked good, especially the donor which looks great.

With regards to new hair growth, seems to have been a good bit of movement in the past couple of weeks.

Although sometimes it looks good and then in other light, not so much. This is also a new camera phone, and the resolution is pretty high.

Still taking fin & oral minoxidil.

Lots to look forward to but think I am on track.

What do you guys think?

You look right where you are meant to be at 3 months, if not slightly ahead - as there are definite signs of early growth.

By the end of this month I think you’ll be able to see how your new hair will be sitting and framing your face,
