@follically challenged Dr Sethi told me that I have a thin hair caliber, to which I fully agree. Rest, I couldn't care less about the thickness in microns since the exact measurement of hair diameter won’t help anyone get thicker hair later!

Yeah, but the thickness is actually important though, as with super thin hair it is less easy to create the illusion of density.

Also, with thin hair it requires more grafts.

So with myself having super thin hair I am always trying to find out more about this in previous patients...

Hi @follically challenged- I think paddyirishman, previous Eugenix success had fairly fine hair and limited donor. You can check out his journey and results on this forum.

Hi everyone,

Sorry about the delay in the update. I am nearly 5 weeks post surgery with my 7000 graft procedure with Dr Sethi at Eugenix in India. Most of my transplanted grafts have shed as I enter the ugly duckling phase. However my original transplanted hair from the previous procedures over 10 years ago have started to grow through. My donor area has healed and growing well - hopefully in another month or so it will be a sufficient length to hide the bad FUT scars from the original surgeries.

Fantastic coverage @IrishWarrior. Those FUT scars (like mine) will disappear once you get a bit more length grown in the donor region. Plus when you have your SMP you can put them behind you. Finally you will be able to put your hair concerns to bed. I look forward to following your journey and thanks for sharing!

Looking right on track, very reminiscent of fellow Irish man @Zoomster

Hey Everyone,

Here is my 2.5 month update. My donor area hair are just starting to cover my earlier FUT scars. I think I'm nearing the end of the shock loss phase which started after the end of the first month. Going forward I hope to see some serious density on the recipient site :

Man, those strip scars...  😟  Fingers crossed for you this round!  If it works out well then perhaps you can go back to Eugenix and put some beard grafts into them.

4 MONTH UPDATE

Hi all,

I took these photos last week which was exactly 4 months post surgery for my 7000 graft FUE procedure with Eugenix (apologies in the week delay in uploading them - just been very busy). Despite full coverage hopefully being another 4 to 6 months away, I have noticed more density starting to creep through. Some fine hair is starting to come through around the reconstructed temple points and when I shower and shampoo my hair I can feel more thinkness or density in my overall scalp.

Just for everyday life when out and about, I use hair fibres and dermmatch to help hide the previous FUT scars and boost scalp coverage, until new growth and coverage develops further in the coming months.

I'll give you another update next month.

Five Month Update

Hi all,

I am just over the 5 month mark post surgery for the 7000 graft surgical procedure that I had at Eugenix Hair Sciences Clinic in Gurgaon on 12th to 14th October 2021 with Dr Pradeep Sethi. So far progress has been good. When showering and washing my hair I can definitely feel and notice density when massaging shampoo into my hair. I have not got full coverage yet so on a daily basis I use some Dermmatch and hair fibres to help add the illusion of full coverage. As for the finer details of the work, I seem to have more growth on my right side temple point as opposed to the left. I'm not entirely sure how many grafts went into each but hopefully month 6 or 7 will show an equal balance.

I have not had a haircut since my surgery as I want to grow my donor area out to help cover my dreaded old FUT scars (from previous very below average work at the hands of Dr Conor Kiely from 2006 to 2010), some of which are still visible in my photo at the back of the scalp. I am still undecided as how to deal with the old FUT scars - either to have tricopigmentation with Milena Lardi at Beauty Medical in Italy or to opt for further hair restoration surgery of having grafts implanted into the scars.

My expectations before the work carried out by Dr Sethi have always been very practical - I just hope for an improvement. And I can certainly say at this stage that it is mission accomplished. It is a definite improvement and I look forward to the coming months as I anticipate further density and growth. Stay tuned for my 6 month update next month.20220316_195634.thumb.jpg.edd68bb1606f4282c7f6ba646a828a44.jpg20220316_195725.thumb.jpg.c2e5169fc7dec59129b2ac159b6fef1f.jpg20220316_195403.thumb.jpg.cb240ac78821799cd7ccfe85c87c8cb5.jpg20220316_195444.thumb.jpg.3958876b0cfcf46e7f1a97719757699e.jpg20220316_202735.thumb.jpg.b91796e07631784fe5ba96a9c27e74f1.jpg
