Not sure if any of you are familiar with adam22 from the no jumper podcast, he’s mostly famous for his podcasts with rappers. He used to be bald shaved head and recently started sporting a thick mane. He’s finally fessed up, this is what we need 👏🏼

If only more people/celebs  “fessed up” would be great 👍🏽

Yea, there really shouldn’t be a stigma, I mean it’s our own hair lol. Well, maybe some beard hair too 😁😅

I had braces up until fairly recently and that entailed having four teeth taken out and about 40 visits to an orthodontist over the span of three years. No one judged me [negatively] for it, other than a bit of light-hearted ribbing but at the end of the day it was my teeth just being moved into a more aesthetically pleasing position, no different to a hair transplant. I think the stigma mostly comes from a lack of knowledge(most probably don't even know where the hair comes from) plus I guess it's seen as an anti-aging procedure and for some reason society looks down on that.

Yes, confessed or fessed, or comes clean,  are all a negative connotations that shows how this is still for many a stigma. We don't have the same issue with other medical procedures and treatments ranging from gender re-assignment to breast augmentation or facial surgery etc. I do think there is positive change but it is a process and hopefully the good surgery outcomes will also foster a more positive perception.  Well done to him for addressing his own case also.

Idk, I know a lot of people who feel getting braces in adulthood is weird. So they opt for something like invisalign instead

Weird maybe but I feel it's a different kind of judgment. Some may find it funny an adult with braces but I don't feel I was ever judged negatively for it, if anything people think good on you for doing something about it. I don't feel it's the same with hair, it feels more taboo in a way, society doesn't like the idea of surgically improving your outward appearance but teeth get a pass even if fundamentally it's still just a case of rearranging for a better aesthetic result.

I couldn't have Invisalign as my teeth needed moving more than what trays can provide but I can 100% say I felt way more uncomfortable smiling with crooked teeth than I did with braces. If I were to get a HT at some point I'd have no issue being open to the fact, I really don't see what the big deal is.

My mother in law wears braces and she’s in her 50s. While braces is something we associate with teenagers. It’s not like she gets weird looks.

Exactly.. what is there to be embarrassed about,I’ve told everyone and people say ‘wow’ or it’s amazing or ‘I want it done’ .... which makes me feel great

Are you really saying that hair transplants have more of a stigma than gender-reassignment surgery? LOL.

FWIW I've had 3 hair transplants and have had no stigma at all. I've gone on a date and hung out with friends in public with scabs on my scalp still. For one of my procedures I had to publicly let 6 co-workers on my team know why I wouldn't have my webcam on for meetings for 2 weeks, and no one batted an eye.

If anything I think people associate hair transplants with having $$$ in the bank and caring about how you look. Those are positive traits in my opinion.

Look at his right temple, is that Lisa Simpson screaming? Interesting substitute for a temple point. Is the other side temple tatt'd too? He couldn't go wrong with some Homer and donuts amiright? :D

He had his entire scalp tattooed, which he probably did because he had a strip scar.

What we're willing to do to our heads. LOL  Looks like the tattoo theme is showing his feminine side?
