Senior Member ADil Posted March 30, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted March 30, 2021 Hi Pre surgery:- Finally after a month delay (acidity problems ..stress lead to acidity let to stress.. vicious cycle) I got my hair transplant done at Eugenix lead by Dr Priyadarshini and the amazing Mumbai team on 24 March 2021 The hairline was designed conservatively with both Doc and i agreeing to make it V shaped. My temples even though had receeded still had some hair so they were also filled. Surgery experience :- Final grafts :-2612 Surgery started at 1030 am and went on to 10 pm.. Dr Priyadarshini did all the initial slits for the implantation as is the practice at Eugenix and was present during all crucial extraction/implantation. As I had a lot of superficial nerves , the bleeding was a bit much which slowed the process quite a lot. But Dr Priyadarshini and the team were very through , precise and worked very hard. I have to mention the awesome supporting actors Ranjan, Ashish , Aadarsh , Rakshya and Dipun and also to Vrushali and Aparna. I can never thank them enough. They kept the pain at minimum and always asked if I was comfortable or in pain. The back massages between breaks were highly appreciated.. They worked tirelessly and were very amiable and polite. I was lucky to get such a great Doctor and superb team of technicians. Also Imran who was there from the beginning to clear whatever doubts i had at every step. Dr Priyadarshini is really polite to talk to and her experience and expertise really showed. She is a wonderful human being and an amazing doctor. I felt like I was around family. Choosing her was the best decision i ever made.. Post surgery:- I was given a kit with saline spray and a chart for precautions/medications Dr. is just a whatsapp away for any queries This forum and my research has equipped me with the knowledge of what to expect on the first 7 days and beyond.. Day 0-7 Sleeping on the back was a major issue. Didnt sleep for more than 2 hours at a time in all 7 days Pro tip :- Tied my wrists to my ankles so that i don't scratch my grafts in sleep ( read somewhere on this forum ) Slight itching sensations but was advised more frequent saline sprays and one SOS medicine. Tomorrow 31 March 2021 is my first head wash. Will post some pics . Now that the hard part is over .. focusing on recovery and results in the coming days and months. Ugly duckling phase and slow results..here i come Attaching pictures and will update the journey as time progresses.. Need your valuable feedback and best wishes for my journey..

Day 10 update All crusts and scabs finally came off.. Took 4 washes in 4 days. Went to Eugenix clinic for three washes. They were very gentle and through. A bit of redness is there on the transplanted area but it should go eventually. The Donor area is healing pretty well too. All the transplanted hairs ( eventually will fall off in the shedding phase ) have sprouted. Hair at Temple points do concern me as they are very very light. I am told i had a lot of baby hairs at temple points originally. Hopefully they should fill up in the coming months.(wow its gonna take months.. ) I am starting Hair Fact multi vitamins recommended by doc from tomorrow ie. 5 April. I am on Finastiride since the beginning and maybe will start minoxidil from next month. Right now I am in my "yay ..i have a hairline phase. Senior Member ADil Posted April 22, 2021 Author Senior Member Share Posted April 22, 2021 1 month Update 29days - Shedding has fully begun. I see lots of hair in the shower and a few during the day. - Temple area has been sparse and have very few hairs. Hopefully the tiny original hair grows to cover it along with the newly transplanted ones. - There is still numbness in the front hair area which occasionally itches. - Donor area has healed pretty well and hair till now has covered 85% of the scars. - Not liking how I look at all. Looking really old and worse. The next few months will be tough. - Hair fact multivitamins and Finpecia 1mg daily routine. - Mildly daily shampoo and Ketostar weekly.
