It depends on how well you scar, can some get away with #1 yes, I’d say most. 1/2 guard only those that scar exceptionally well. Zero guard a very small portion. I go to a half quite high on a fade and even if people were to notice, it wouldn't concern me at all. I don't think there's any/much stigma attached to HT's anymore, so just own it. Most people wouldn’t even know what they’re looking at, they would just think its the haircut. Only someone who knows could detect them, and if they know it’s cause they’ve had one or are interested in getting one, so who cares. They exist of course but are barely discernible from several feet away especially with a small extraction “punch” size (ex. 0.8 mm). I have tried to check their donors either on a pool or at the beach and I could never say for sure if they had had a FUE procedure.
