Regular Member Gareth Posted January 25, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted January 25, 2021 Hi everyone, I've been on Finasteride for a while now and have had the dreaded libido drop. I've mentioned it to my surgeon Dr Farjo and in light of this conversation have reduced my weekly dose from three half-tablets to two, but it hasn't made a massive difference. Can anyone offer any tips to manage this particular side-effect?

Senior Member Future Hair Doc Posted January 25, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2021 Switch to topical finasteride/minoxidil combo. Still effective, but without the systemic absorption so basically no side effects. I use Morr F and it works well for me. Feel free to PM me as well if you'd like. My advice does not constitute a patient-physician relationship nor as medical advice and all medical questions/concerns should be addressed to your medical provider. Regular Member Gareth Posted May 13, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted May 13, 2021 Hi everyone, just checking in again. I've taken my finasteride usage down to one tablet a week and have taken a break from minoxidil but plan to restart soon. Does minoxidil have any effect on libido loss? And if so, pare there any forms which don't suppress the libido? Thanks, Gareth
