6 month update

I’m a week away from 6 months, but won’t have time then to update. I likely won’t update again until 9 month & 12 month marks. I decided to take these photos all in random places to expose different lighting, but in hindsight I realize it would have been better if I took them consistently in one well lit setting, oh well, comparisons could still be drawn. I’m still reserving my own judgement until the end, but overall I’m satisfied with the result at this point. It’s already let me lose the hat, and I don’t think about my hair in public anymore, which is a great relief. I got a 0.5 fade last Thursday, so the sides are still rather short & my hair here isn’t washed and still holding some minoxidil from last night

Lastly, this week I’ve start Loniten (oral min) 1.25 mg every morning, which I’ll do for 3 months and then up to 2.5 mg. I will still continue to use topical minoxidil at night, because I feel my hair has built a reliance to it, and also the half life of the dose I’m taking orally is only 4-5 hours.

Its results like these that make me even more torn on FUT vs FUE

Both options are fine in the right hands. I think your decision should mainly come down to the number of grafts you’re looking to move in one sitting, how you’re fairing on meds over the years and if you’re fine to wear your hair long enough to conceal a fut scar.

The hairstyle that TorontoMan is sporting would allow you to conceal a good FUT scar.

You think if you told the barber to fade right around the scar it would be concealable ?

Yes, there are other examples of people who get your type/length of fade and it conceals the scar completely.

That’s interesting, I never thought if that before but I could def see how it could work

I try to do a similar style, but you’ve obviously got way more hair than me, and it’s wavy lucky 😅

You do a great job cutting your own hair btw. watched a bit of the Reddy live on the gram yesterday and your hair and beard looked amazing. It also looks like you put on a little more muscle too, which is something I'm hoping I'll be focusing more on now 😅
