Dr. Thomas Nakatsui Posted January 1, 2021 Share Posted January 1, 2021 This is a patient who came in recently for followup. He had a transplant approximately 11 months ago into the frontal scalp. He received 1232 single grafts, 1640 double grafts, and 428 three-hair grafts, for a total count of 3300 grafts. He is very happy with the changes so far. It is interesting to note that the transplanted hair is a bit darker than the surrounding hair and this is a relatively common occurrence in patients who are graying as the donor hair in the occipital area tends to gray or whiten later than the hair in the frontal scalp. If this is too pronounced, then the patient would need to color their hair to camouflage these color differences.
