Regular Member Arslan20 Posted December 19, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 Hey guys. Im in week 8 post surgery. I started using rogaine topical 3 weeks ago. Im experiencing dizziness and headaches. Is this is side effect of rogaine? I was thinking about switching to foam instead of topical rogaine, would that help? Note: Not using Finasteride. Senior Member Britanium Posted December 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 Yes it can be sides of Rogaine. Try switching and seeing if it makes any difference?

Senior Member ciaus Posted December 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 About the dizziness and headaches, those can be a sign you are putting on too much as well. Its tempting to want to apply extra to make sure you aren't missing or under-covering any areas.
Regular Member Arslan20 Posted December 19, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 @ciaus not in my case. Im very precise about how much I put on. I make sure its no more than 1 ml in morning and 1 ml at night.
Regular Member Arslan20 Posted December 19, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) Its a little confusing as well. Even before using rogaine, I had a few instances of dizziness. After rogaine usage however, the headaches kicked in which were long, intense and I couldn't get relief even with OTC meds. Now its been over 1 week since I stopped rogaine after asking my surgeon. I have not had a single day of headaches after stopping. Senior Member TorontoMan Posted December 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) I do believe you should consult with your doctor. Just to share my experience, I remember getting slight headaches in the beginning but went away after the 4th day or so and haven't had any headache since. Just some irritated scalp along the way that may have been just dry scalp and not attributed to Minoxidil.
