Regular Member New Hair NYC Posted December 18, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted December 18, 2020 Yeah, but it was kinda nice considering there's a harsh, bright light coming right down on your face and having 4-5 people constantly in your face... Felt more comfortable to cover half your face haha.
Regular Member anker21 Posted December 18, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted December 18, 2020 Wasn't it difficult to breath for so long with your nose and mouth covered? I assume it was mandatory?

Senior Member TorontoMan Posted December 18, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 18, 2020 Yeah I had it in September and actually preferred wearing the mask as everyone is right up close to your face. You're pretty relaxed so breathing isn't an issue. You'll be fine
Senior Member DenverBuff1989 Posted December 19, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 19, 2020 Yes I had to wear a mask. But they gave me Xanax and an injection of Versed, so I was so relaxed I didn't mind wearing the mask for the whole 6 hour surgery. I was so relaxed I fell asleep for parts of the procedure. The way the sedative drugs work as well is, say you do experience pain or discomfort during the actual surgery, your memory will suffer amnesia post-surgery and you won't have a decent memory of the discomfort. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure many people here can relate.

Senior Member baldiee Posted December 20, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted December 20, 2020 (edited) Yeah I'm two weeks post-op from my surgery and do not have any COVID symptoms. The mask didn't bother me at all. Totally forgot I had it on. They also gave me a surgical jacket to wear cause it was cold. I was super cozy. Only had mild discomfort when laying on my neck when laying in different positions for hours. Edited December 20, 2020 by baldiee
