ArochaAngel4247
This is one of my personal favorite patient results. He's been a longtime patient of Dr. Arocha and came in for his most recent procedure last December. He first came to our office with diffuse thinning in the hairline and frontal area one year after a hair transplant with another high end surgeon. At that time, he wanted to enhance his hairline and increase density of his frontal area. He also wanted an artistic, enhanced hairline with a widow's peak. Approximately 1500 grafts were placed in the hairline, and approximately 1500 grafts were placed in the frontal to mid-scalp area for a total of 3093 FUT's during his first procedure with Dr. Arocha. He had an additional 2000 grafts added during his procedure last December. So, he's just under a year out from his 2nd procedure at our office. Senior Member Mycroft Posted November 13, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 13, 2020 Definitely a noticeable increase in hair bulk and strength of the hairline. Was the second procedure focused on fine-tuning the hairline specifically, or adding density throughout the frontal zone?

I Seem to remember you had PRP Just PRP for the moment, though I've had two sessions now. Since I had diffuse thinning and no true "dead zones" it helped rejuvenate enough of my hair that I was able to put a transplant on the back burner. It's still something I'm considering to strengthen the frontal-temporal areas and I did want to see Dr. Arocha again to discuss options, but then Covid hit and I think for the moment all in-person consults are for imminent surgeries only. I'd also have to drive to Houston from Dallas because the doctor's periodic visits to my neck of the woods also look to be on hold due to pandemic, so I'm in a holding pattern for now. His office has plenty of photos but what I really need at this point is a detailed look at my scalp to propose a long term plan and discuss donor limitations, as well as see whether risk of permanent shock loss to my thinner areas might outweigh the potential cosmetic impact of surgery at this time. Mycroft - come on down! We are happy to open our doors to to you, we just ask that you wear a mask. If you can't make it down to Houston before the end of the year, I am thinking about having Dr. Arocha start seeing his Dallas patients again toward the beginning of 2021 (which has to be a better year -right?). We can do a PRP for you at the Dallas location at that time. In the interim, maybe we can get doc to get a good look over FaceTime? Representative and Patient Educator for: Dr. Bernardino A. These are images that were taken before Dr. Arocha did any work on this patient - and when he first came in about 10 years ago. This particular patient had thinning, as you can see in the gaps along the part. Dr. Arocha doesn't require our patients to shave their heads for FUT procedures, as he is able to work within the existing hair. Additionally, the transplant is minimally visible immediately following the procedure. It's also worth pointing out that this patient is in a rock band, and Dr. Arocha gave him some "rock star hair." Immediately after - note the very minimally visible grafts. 1 Representative and Patient Educator for: Dr. Bernardino A. Arocha, Coalition Member. Senior Member Mycroft Posted November 21, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted November 21, 2020 Yeah, this looks plenty familiar. My frontal thinning is very similar. Thanks for including the additional photos. Without these kinds of images earlier stage diffuse thinning can be tougher to see.
