Hi, new to this forum and first time poster!

After almost 2 years of research I finally had my hair transplant at the Farjo Hair Institute 3 days ago.

I just wanted to first thank everyone at Farjo's who were an absolute pleasure to be with for the day.  The care and precision the Dr's worked towards was fantastic as was all the hard work by everyone else involved in the procedure (including pre and post operative care and advice).  All the staff there are so genuinely nice it put any fears, concerns or apprehension to rest.

I just thought I would post a few photos on to show people the results and timelines which may help others in their journey which I know is far from easy!  Time to now hope and pray that all these grafts survive and the hair regrows (which I know from the many posts on here is a long, long waiting game)!

Of course!  I am 38.  I'm not on any medication yet but seriously considering Finasteride to stop any further loss in the future.  My hairline has been like this for about 10 years now (maybe a bit more deterioration coming from the temples inwards).  I have a full crown but maybe that will change at some point.

Thanks for your reply.

All looking good! Really nice hairline design/rebuild of temples slightly. Donor recovering well too.

Thanks John!

I have to admit that is the one thing I was blown away with just after the procedure; the hairline looked so impressive.  Can't wait for the final results.

Just wondering if anyone can give any advice re the new transplanted hair falling out.

I was told that the new hairs would possibly fallout when the crust came off.  I havent lost any hair yet and it appears to be growing.  From what I've read, the new hair doesn't grow, falls out and then lays dormant for a few months.

Just wondering if the hair is 'growing' whether I'll be one of the lucky ones whose hair grows straight back!!

Most of the time all the grafts grow initially but shed around 2-4 weeks. Don't be deceived by initial growth signifying that the grafts will not shed. More than likely they will by the 1 month mark.

Bosley 11-2016 FUE - 1,407 grafts

Dr. Diep 09-2017 FUE - 2,024 grafts

Dr. Konior 03-2020 FUE - 2,076 grafts

Dr. Konior 09-2021 FUE - 697 scalp to scalp, FUE - 716 beard to beard Total scalp FUE - 6,204 grafts

Ok thanks.  I’ve mentally prepared myself for shedding but no doubt will throw the toys out the pram when it does happen 😂

In all seriousness, I’m happy to wait as long as it takes, as it’s a relatively short term wait for a pretty permanent solution 👍🏻

Hi guys.  So I’m at week 6 and the redness has subsided considerably.  Here is a pic of the right hand side.  The shedding is strange.  Some hair has shed whilst others stayed put and is now growing.  I’ve also noticed really short hairs starting to sprout (where I assume the original hair shedded).  Is this normal at week 6? I’ve read somewhere that hairs stay dormant for 2 months?  Any advice appreciated.

You’ve entered the ugly duckling phase, nothing to worry about, looks perfectly normal. Those hairs that haven’t shed may keep growing. You’ll be lucky 🙌🏼

Hey guys.  In 2 weeks time I’ll be at month 4 and I’m a little confused / concerned.

The hair you can see in the pic is the hair that didn’t shed and has continued to grow.  However, the hairs that did shed don’t appear to be growing in and, looking at other posts, I should have really seen some progress by month 4?

just wondering if anyone has experienced the same, or has any advice?  Thanks

4 month is the very beginning for most people’s growth. So it will be the next few months you will see changes. As you said your not at the 4 month point yet. Please don’t worry.

Me: it won’t be until 12 months or more til you see the final results, relax.

Also Me: PANIC 😆

As we say to everyone.... trust the process.... the growth timeline differs but it normally starts around month 4 for most ! You might see some early growers on the forum but it’s simply not the case for the majority

Looks normal for the time frame, there’s a guy here who completely crapped on his surgeon and then got an insane result. Easier said than done. I’m sure I’ll be freaking out too.

Wow.  I can understand people (like myself) starting to doubt things but to blame the surgeon before waiting it out is pretty harsh.  They obviously didn’t count to 10!
