Hi guys, hope you're all well.

Wanted to create my own thread on here so you can follow my progress and we can swap ideas and techniques.

I had a 2,200-graft HT for a type 3 receding hairline (basically it had all gone at the front).

Have just completed my first month, so all the donor hair has basically fallen out. Any advice on how I can maximize the results would be appreciated!

This is today's, so 33 days after surgery.

Looks good.

Not much you can do now as it's a waiting game.  Maybe take biotin supplements to speed up hair growth.

Some people use minoxidil but I don't think it's worth it unless youve used it before and know it doesnt inflame the scalp.

4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013

1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018

763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020

Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day

Coming up to 11 weeks. No growth so far but seems it's still very early days.

Scalp still red but that's probably because I've been applying minoxidil to the recipient area. Will start applying it to the existing hair instead.

Am also taking finasteride, MSM and biotin. Open to other suggestions too!

Latest pic above, nearly 13 weeks after op.

Looks like a few tiny hairs are starting to appear but maybe I'm being over-optimistic.

Am still taking Minoxidil, MSM and Biotin. Have stopped taking Finasteride due to libido drop but will resume after Christmas.

Latest update. Week 18.

Still slow progress but seems like it's starting to get a bit more dense.

Am still applying Minoxidil (Regaine morning, droplets in the evening), Finasteride (half a tablet Monday and Friday) and biotin. Any other suggestions welcome!

I would advise you to let the top grow out from this point forward.

Thanks for the advice. Why is that though? I try and keep it short to make it easier to apply the Minoxidil

any HT requires a hair length and even layering to look fuller/denser, I think Melvin is just suggesting as your result comes it, will look better if you let it grow out as it will be a better WOW factor, you should be in for a great result, I really like the conservative hairline design - I also use Minox foam in the morning, applied right after my shower and hair still wet, should be no problem - best of luck growing!
