Minoxidil foam & Collagen Reduction

Hello,

My initially reasoning for posting was to ask if indeed a Collagen supplement could potentially help strengthen my hair follicles and scalp?

From there I just read that Minoxidil reduces Collagen production and isn't actually overly beneficial.  Looking for some sound advice and information.

I never heard of the reduction but I have been taking a collagen supplement for a few months now. From what I have read collagen supplements can take a very long time to actual show results, like up top a year.

As far as I’m aware, there’s no link between reducing collagen and taking minoxidil. However, there is a study that links a reduction in collagen synthesis in dermal papilla cells. Perhaps, this is the study that most reference, when they say minoxidil reduces collagen. It’s important to note its 24 years old, and the study was on rats not humans.
