How many grafts do I need?

Thinking about getting a Ht after talking to my specialist who said I could go for a ht if I think that’s right for my situation.

im 24 and receding since I’m 18. been on minoxidil for 5-6 years and I can’t take Finasterid due to the worst side effects I could get unfortunately.

i have no problem getting touch ups every 1-3 years and have no problem having a smp in my 30s or 40s if my hair loss situation should get too worse because short hair doesn’t look that bad on me.

wanted to get a Ht with Dr Keser (my dad is from turkey and he talked to him on the phone and was very pleased with him) and I did my research and I like his density and hairline work. He quoted 1500 grafts but I wanted to know what you guys think and if you think my donor is good enough.

Are you on finasteride? looks fairly aggressive for your age. I would plan to be at least Norwood 5. Also, Keser doesn’t use microscopes, he’s really selective only chooses Norwood 2s or 3s, a few guys here complained about having doubles and triples in their hairline. For the price, I think Dr. Bisanga, Maras, Feriduni, are better options.

That said, looks like you shave your head and you have a good beard and headshape. It’s a good thing you’ve at least tried to shave your head, you’re already ahead of the bunch.

I got too many side effects from it and my specialist advised me to never touch it again and I don’t plan on doing it, he said keep using minoxidil and I can use a dermaroller every now and then.

Dont think it’s that Bad tbh for receding 6 years left side is worse than the right.

My dad already talked to Keser on the phone and he told me he could do a Ht on me and that he‘d use 1500 grafts, do you think that’s enough? Planned and saved money for 2000 grafts and want a good looking hairline.

and yes I shaved my head a lot of times but now after hitting the gym and doing mma it looks kinda good on me with beard but I want my hairline back and maybe have long hair for at Least a few years because I always wanted it but couldn’t do it because I receded so early 😅

I also think you should consider other clinics. And it would appear you need more than 1500 grafts to me. You look like your heading for a high Norwood level so you need a good plan in place.
Have you thought about trying topical Fin? As the reports suggest no sides.

I believe he can only do around that amount at a time, part of the reason why he chooses his patients. In my opinion, you need around 2,000 maybe more. Have you consulted with any other surgeons?

Take a look at our list, we have patient reviews on each profile, definitely best to consult with many to get a general consensus of how many grafts you need.

Talked to a few and got quoted 2200-2500 but I want one surgeon who does ‚much with less‘ so thats why I have keser on my list I really like his work.. who else is good and affordable for hairline work?

You don't have a conventional requirement for a hair transplant. But you can definitely go for a hairline enhancement if it would make you happier. If I had a face like that I'd walk all over people and not care about anything in the world.

Hey man why do you talk yourself down like this? I’m far far away from perfect been receding since 18 years and I am not tall either (only 5‘8) so it kinda bothers me not having good hair I work with people being 18-22 years old and they all got perfect hair you know the feeling when you are the only one receding. I’m just happy that I got a good beard and a girlfriend who didn’t care that I go bald or I would lose my mind 😅
