Eitan sandler
I was supposed to have a procedure at H&W but it didnt happen because of the coronavirus. I want to have it as soon as possible because I wont be able to have one until next year (work obligations). So now im thinking of booking a procedure with Shapiro or Konior. The "downside" of Konior for me is that I cant see any review on him except this forum, so I wonder why? And the "downside" of Shapiro is that I cant find any recent results of FUE from him and I dont know much about him (my own dermatologist said he's one of best in the world). I would like to hear your opinions, thank you!
Senior Member Britanium Posted September 8, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 8, 2020 (edited) There are lots of results from Konior on the forum. Some are found by spelling difference “Konoir” I have noticed. I believe he does have a long waiting list though! Senior Member aaron1234 Posted September 8, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 8, 2020 Two of the best in the biz. Can't go wrong with either one. Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008 Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013 Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020 My Hair Transplant Journey with Shapiro Medical Group
Senior Member BadBeat Posted September 8, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 8, 2020 I've had 2 FUE's with Dr. Ron Shapiro. I'm not big on posting pics so you won't be able to see, but I can assure you these 2 procedures for me were completely life changing. He is a master at creating natural hairlines. I've never once had anybody ask me if I've done anything.
Senior Member 1978matt Posted September 8, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 8, 2020 Two hall of famers. Most people don't post their results. You're lucky if 6 a year do which is probably no more than 2% per annum. You may find more Shapiro results on Hair loss Experiences. I think Dr Josephitis does all the FUE extractions for Ron and Paul, but the latter do the designs, incisions, and maybe the critical placement in the front hairline...unless things have changed since I last looked. I'm sure Dr J also does his own patients. 1 4,312 FUT grafts (7,676 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2013 1,145 FUE grafts (3,152 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - August 2018 763 FUE grafts (2,094 hairs) with Ray Konior, MD - January 2020 Proscar 1.25mg every 3rd day
Senior Member Taken4Granted Posted September 8, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 8, 2020 Both great docs. Everyone knows I’m partial to Konior. Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted September 8, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 8, 2020 Dr. Ron Shapiro is one of the forefathers of this site, he was the founders surgeon. Dr. Konior has evolved into one of the industries most respected surgeons. They are both excellent choices, my suggestion is to consult with both and talk to past patients. 1 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I do not receive any compensation from any clinic. Senior Member aaron1234 Posted September 9, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted September 9, 2020 If you really can't decide between them, then just have Dr. Ron do round 1 and Dr. K do round 2... or vice versa! 🤓 1 Dr. G: 1,000 grafts (FUT) 2008 Dr. Paul Shapiro: 2,348 grafts (FUT) 2009 ~ 1,999 grafts (FUT) 2011 ~ 300 grafts (Scar Reduction) 2013 Dr. Konior: 771 grafts (FUT) 2015 ~ 558 grafts (FUT) 2017 ~ 1,124 grafts (FUE) 2020 My Hair Transplant Journey with Shapiro Medical Group

I just started to read about these two. How would one even decide which one to go with? Seems Shapiro maybe better choice ?
Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted October 31, 2020 Administrators Share Posted October 31, 2020 Best way is to consult with both, there elite surgeons, it’s bit like deciding between a Benz and a BMW, you don’t know till the test drive.
