Hi everyone,

I live in the NW of the UK and have been considering getting a front hair line transplant (am 45) to fill in gaps and slightly lower my hairline what has receded.  Who would you recommend please?

thanks

Pete

Thanks everyone, what about Dr Farjo?

Never been particularly impressed with that Dr/clinic to be honest. Recently saw a guy on Youtube who had two procedures with that clinic (second procedure as he wasn't happy with the first) and he didn't have too many great things to say about his whole experience with them.

As @LonelyGraft mentioned, you may be better off looking at some of the other clinics in Europe.

Unless you don't have a passport - if you are UK based and want FUE, Belgium and Spain have both superior clinics, and cheaper rates.

Dr Reddy and Dr Ball both knock out above average results, however you won't be far off having to remortgage your house, and they don't have anywhere near the amount of patient posted results or experience as the surgeons in Belgium, such as Feriduni, Lupanzula, Bisanga, or in Spain - Lorenzo, De Freitas, Ferreira (Ferreira is based with Lorenzo and has his own clinic in Portugal I believe). Dr Couto is another wizard in Spain, however personally I haven't came across any patient threads of his (not that I've tried to look). Same with Dr BF - however @Rolandas on here is enjoying a nice result from him, and I believe there are quite a few more on international and spanish forums.

HLC in Turkey is another option, albeit a little further to travel, however I believe would be the cheapest over all.

I don't want to make this sound as though I'm basing everything on cost, because that is not what you should do - however if money is no object, fly to the states or Canada and get in with Dr Konior or Hasson and Wong.

The UK doesn't cut it on the global scene IMO, and I am a UK patient.

Dr. Farjo and Dr. Reddy for the UK, you should consider some other options in Belgium like Bisanga and Feriduni.

bro what are you talking about. As you're a moderator, you should be more careful with your 'opinions' as you know people will hold what you say with greater weight! Dr Farjo has had many bad results and is known for this. A simple google search of Dr Farjo the truth returns you with a facebook page with over 1000 likes detailing many poor results. Some patent testimonials on youtube as well showcasing his poor results. Please be more careful with your posts, this is a very important procedure.

I have to back up Ramo on this ..

It was Farjo clinic that rejected me 7 years ago and to be honest..I feel like i dodged a bullet based on results since then ...

Walk away from this clinic if you are anything above a NW3 would be my advice..

I had surgery with Dr Arshad from Hair Dr - Dewsbury (near Leeds). He was previously a consultant surgeon (specialising in head cancer surgery) in the NHS, so is a highly trained surgeon. There are not many results from him on this forum, but lots on other forums. I have also had work with Dr Reddy and IMO his work is just as good.

Actually yes I have seen consistently good results from Dr Arshad in recent times.

Still shocked to see the Farjo comments. Years ago the clinic was putting out really good results.

There’s no perfect surgeon, but he’s recommended here, and has shown some good results. In the end, suggestions are starting points of research. Its up to you to research and make a decision.

Remember....mods are going to push doctors that are “recommended” on this site. Aka pay to be part of the community

Thats BS, I recommend surgeons I’m aware of and know about, not because they’re recommended. I’ve heard good things about Dr. Arashad, he’s not recommended.

Yes, but there are surgeons who have a higher success rate than others. You didn't even make it clear that suggestions are starting points of research - you just said confidently 'Dr Farjo and Dr Reddy for the UK'. Just some constructive criticism, do more research before commenting things like this, especially as a moderator. If you haven't fully researched a surgeon, make that clear rather than just saying 'Dr Farjo and Dr Reddy for the UK'.

From the UK these are two surgeons I’m familiar with and have seen good results on this forum. So my advice is the same. You don’t have to like my choices, you’re free to disagree and choose whomever you please.

I just think that if you are going to charge the highest rates in the world . . then your results should at least be the absolute best in the world. This is why I don't mind as much the high pricing of your Koniors, H&W's etc, because their results are consistently amazing - look at the latest Konior update from this evening for instance, its nothing short of unbelievable.

Ok London property rates are extortionate, so clinics obviously have to factor that in - but for a travelling consumer, it makes no sense to pay so much more for a lesser quality service, when you are able to travel a few extra hours overseas, and have your pick of some of the FUE greats, at lower rates.

RE. Farjo - try and find 5x decent patient posted results from the last 5 years. That shouldn't be hard if he was worth his salt 😉

Some interesting points regarding Farjo. I only live 50 minutes away from his clinic, but personally think his results are not consistently good and he is very expensive - NOT a very good combination! When I had my hair transplant with Dr Arshad, I paid £2 per graft. He has now put his prices up to £3 per graft. When I last looked, Farjo was charging about £6 per graft (FUE).

In regards to aftercare, Dr Arshad is far superior to Dr Reddy or Dr De Reys. I received a phone calls, texts, and had several face-to-face appointments to ensure everything was healing well.

The more I hear and see about Dr Arshad the more there is to like. Maybe at some point in the future he could be added to the Uk recommended list.

We sure don’t have many other name here in the Uk worth going too.

I was really impressed with Dr Arshad and his team. He lead tech has over 20 years experience and was trained by Dr C, and I know that he goes to quite a few conferences on hair transplants and invests in the latest tools. I think it is good that there are other options in UK for those seeking a HT.

I know Dr Arshad is heavily involved with another HT forum, so it would be a question of whether he would want to pay the fee for this website too! When I had my first HT with Dr De Reys, he said he was reluctant to pay the fees on here, because he was busy enough. He eventually joined and was approved, but left after a while.

JohnAC71 you post as though you`re some sort of authority on the quality of UK clinics. There are more than 70 clinics performing FUE in the UK, plenty with amazing results but you have a blinkered opinion that only a select few are worthy. Your posts read like a recruitment drive for this forum. Take some of your own advice, research on other sites, you will be pleasantly surprised.

It would appear it only takes several positive patient reviews from patients and you`re promoting the clinic to be recommended on here. Maybe they don`t need or feel it necessary to be recommended, they seem to be managing just fine on other sites.

What are you talking about? I can speak about my experiences and all the real patient reviews on the forum. I have spent over 10 years researching and posting. I have had multiple hair transplants in the Uk. And have spoken to most of them.
So you joined up and commented on my post, and not all the other members and mod posting the exact same advice.?
I personally think there is only a few clinics that actually are worth considering in the Uk. But this Dr Ashard clinic is also worth considering it seems.

You don’t like my posts then there is a new feature called “ignore user”

We all post from our own experiences/research I suggest you worry about your own.
