Senior Member duchaine Posted August 29, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted August 29, 2020 (edited) The skin surrounding my hairline is white! Is it ever happened to someone else? it looks like scar tissue, so that means that the doctor trasplanted some fu in white areas that didn’t grow. Senior Member duchaine Posted August 29, 2020 Author Senior Member Share Posted August 29, 2020 If i see the hairline design and the actual pics, i suppose that hairs didn’t grow in the “corner”, where i have white skin. what do you think? Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted August 29, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 29, 2020 I think the additional hair is covering your skin, so now the rest of your forehead is getting sunlight, so it will make the scalp look white. 4 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Senior Member gillenator Posted August 30, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted August 30, 2020 I have seen this several times over the years and I remember one of my doctors explaining that it was due to less blood flow at the base of the grafts where the recipient incisions were made...it's a very temporary situation and will remedy itself as the blood vessels heal. 1 Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic. Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted August 30, 2020 Valued Contributor Share Posted August 30, 2020 I agree that less light to the scalp will equal less pigment from the sun. Also remember that scarring also occurs under the skin where the grafts heal which is perfectly normal.
