Here's my list of the top 5 things you should avoid after getting a hair transplant, but what about you guys? Did I miss any, would you change the list? I would love to hear the communities input.

-Time tracking devices such as watches, wall clocks, calendars...be patience and in the moment

-Google searches on the internet for topics such as imploding hair transplants

-Negative input/energy from negative folks

Great list Melvin. I would add avoid feverishly looking for growth day to day and focus on 6, 9, and 12 months. The implanted follicles can sometimes take up to 2 years to fully mature (grow and thicken).

My advice does not constitute a patient-physician relationship nor as medical advice and all medical questions/concerns should be addressed to your medical provider.

Excellent points Melvin. I would also add comparing yourself to where others are at in the process/how they look and also getting off medication/rogaine after the transplant. So many people think a transplant is a cure all but you still need to be on medication as the transplanted hair can fall out if you don't take care of it properly.

Avoiding sunburn is a solid numero uno.  Also avoid rubbing your head with poison ivy and stay clear of axe murderers.

That is an important one, once you start down the path of looking up failed procedures, you give yourself unnecessary anxiety.

Excellent points, comparing yourself to others is an overall mistake in life, but it can really lead to having unrealistic expectations, or just being dissatisfied with an overall satisfactory procedure.

I would add caution on concealer also, I appreciate this is not exhaustive as a list so other things wont make the top 5. All valid points mentioned however, well done.

Dr. Paul told me to avoid dermmatch on the recipient region for six months!
