Hair transplant in Turkey? Who.

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.

I Am 38 y.o. And have have Norwood 3. I live in Germany, checked few hair transplant clinics but the price is quite high. I heard from my friends that quality of hair transplant in Turkey is quite nice, prices are affordable. My attention drew two doctors: Dr. Koray  Erdoganand Dr. Hakan Doganay.

I wonder if this forum members can advise their experiences with these doctors???

I got prices from both, they are almost same. I am nervous about surgery and it’s outcome. I hope to get help here.

bagging for advices...

My question is why Turkey? I would advise against Turkey. Instead, check out Bisanga, Feriduni in Belgium.

If your mind is made up, wish you well, but you should do more research before jumping the gun.

Price matters:)

That was the mindset that led me to make a mistake with my first surgery.  All the best.

@Tjphelps you have selected some of the worst options in Turkey (the world capital of botched hair transplants).

ASMED is a hairmill with technicians (without medical background that could have been taxi drivers 2 months before your surgery) operating on 8 patients per day. Hairmills like this are the norm in Turkey and several offer all inclusive prices (a red alert for anyone that values getting good results from a surgery in any medical field). There are several patients at HRN complaining of botched results from ASMED and being threatened by lawyers.

Doganay was kicked out of HRN some time ago due to serious accusations including re-using needles.

The only safe option in Turkey in HLC at 2.5€/graft but for that price your are better off going to Dr. Bruno Ferreira or Dr. Ximena Villa (both charge the same price).

Appreciate all your thoughts.
I think, I will go on with Doganay. Chatting with his clinic relieved some worries. They Asked tons of question about me and my story, promised 3000-3200 grafts only, showed clinic results..... kind of feel safer.
my another thought is clinics are not crowded now because of Corona. Maybe doctors are extra careful now anyway.
thanks,

Hi.
I checked him. Thanks for your advice. Seems like he has some difficulties to determine nice hairline.

We had to remove him based on serious complaints from his patients @paleocapa89

He is a little more conservative with his hairlines but I’d rather have a hairline with good density than a low hairline which looks unrealistic and weak density...That’s just my imo though

I found technical info here https://www.drhakandoganay.com/en/natural-hair-transplant-hairline/ and couldn’t get half😐. I also checked his feedbacks today, no complains on hairline. Although, 2015-2016 his performance was pretty low. Recent feedbacks are generally positive. Can someone share frontal hairline experience? What pay attention to?

thanks

Yes, why? (Sorry, didn’t get it)

The thread showed a major complaint, his rep came back and even mentioned he reused needles, which is why so many patients developed folliculitis. How can you say you found no complaints. Either way, good luck.

I went to Cinik in Istanbul and very pleased after 6 months. You won’t find any place without good and bad reviews. Cinik was a bit of a hairmill but they run the surgery like clockwork so perhaps ‘hairmill’ can not always be viewed as a negative. Paid about 3k (lodging included) and would of paid 5 times as much if I stayed local. Good luck!

Thanks for explanation. Portugal25 seems to copy paste same comment in several topics. Yes, I saw the general complains, I mean hairline is always ok. I wish there was a perfect doc :) 😥 hesitating goes on....

@Tjphelps I use the same phrases because there’s seem to be more and more people posting about low cost all inclusive surgeries and my warning will always be the same.

If you are looking for a budget Doctor you should consider Demirsoy (1.25€/graft) or spend a bit more with Dr. Arika (1.8)/graft) for a highly skilled technique.
If you are looking for all inclusive low cost then instead of having unknown technicians performing your surgery at Cinik (or any other low cost clinic) go with the nurses Esma&Serkan Tetik because they have dozens of real patients on the Turkish forum with good results and charge 1500€ for DHI (all inclusive). Better going with nurses with real patients results than unknown technicians with no medical background.
