Dr Zioga - anyone been to her?

Recommended Posts

So I've been debating about a hair transplant for quite some time, and visited quite a few doctors including Dr. Reddy.   I was most impressed with Dr. Zioga and was just ready to go ahead.  But I've just found this site today, and she is barely mentioned and not in the recommended list - although reading the small print the recommended list appears to be sponsored by the surgeons.  Please let me know if you have any experience

thanks in advance

@jimbobby the only option in the UK is Dr. Reddy but you have doctors getting better results at a lower price outside of the UK.

Look into Dr. Bruno Ferreira (2.5€/graft) in Portugal and Dr. Ximena Villa (2.5€/graft) in Madrid.
They both worked with the icon Dr. Lorenzo so they have the same technique which is DHI the only difference being that Dr Bruno does 1 patient per day and Dr. Ximena does 2 patients per day.

You can check Dr. Ximena dozens of great results at the Spanish forum recuperartupelo.

Dr. Bruno is still working at Dr. Lorenzo clinic so he’s not promoting his own clinic in Porto where he charges half the price of Lorenzo’s clinic (2.5€/graft instead of 5€) but you do have 1 result thread here at HRN from  @Rolandas

It will be difficult for you to find doctors with this highly skilled technique and experience charging this price.

If you have extensive hairloss you should consider FUT and request a diagnosis  to Feriduni and Hattingen who are the best in Europe for FUT (they also do FUE) but more expensive than Ximena and Bruno.

If you are on a budget and don’t mind a flight to India then Dr. Arika at Eugenix (1.8€/graft w/tax) is getting great results and they are known as the best for FUE mega sessions.

Wish you all the best with your research.

Thank you.  I'll check them out.  I don't want to go to India, but Portugal is fine,  I'll research them.  I had only researched the UK and Ireland options and had started with HRBR as they seemed to have alot of celebrity clients.  Then it seemed that Dr Reddy and Dr Zioga were the main two that do DHI/mFue which is what got my attention.  I believe they both used to work at the same clinic.

@jimbobby even though Reddy is the most recommend surgeon for someone dead set on doing a HT in the UK the consensus here at HRN is to avoid the UK all together because the best option (Dr. Reddy) is over priced and cheaper surgeons like Ximena, Ferreira or even Eugenix are getting equal or better results.

This won’t help you much but I had a consultation with Dr Zioga in London in 2016 and she said I wasn’t ready for a transplant even though my hairline had receded quite a lot and was thinning throughout most of the top. So I totally respected her honesty and they wasn’t just trying to take my money. I ended up going abroad in 2019 at the age of 32 for a transplant.
This forum is a great source of knowledge and information and has lots of real patient reviews by various doctors.

Dr. Reddy is an excellent choice. Money comes and goes, but you only have one donor supply. Look up Mike Thurston on YouTube and life of steve. Both of them got excellent results. I would definitely recommend him.

I’ve also had a consultation with Dr Zioga and was impressed. Similar to @Craig2412 I went to her back in 2017 and she said I wasn’t a suitable candidate and advised Rogaine and supplements etc., so she is not just chasing the cash. It is odd that there are no results on the forums, though this could equally be that results are generally good so people just go on with their lives and don’t post.

I see the automatic recommendation for Dr Reddy but that isn’t helpful without explaining why he is better than Dr Zioga.

Surely someone here has either had a procedure with Dr Zioga or knows someone who has?

I ended up going with her.  You are probably right in that once done if no problem then people just get on with their life and don't post.  I did it one month ago and haven't visited any hair loss site since then.   I just got an alert about the post to this thread on email, hence my reply.

I find Dr.Zioga excellent, reassuring and very professional.   The procedure takes a long time but is very low pain.  You do need to follow the post procedures so make sure you read these before doing the procedure.  They are easy to follow but may impact your lifestyle, for example you have to spray your hair every 30 minutes for the first week etc.   The donor areas also look a bit bruised, so I would say while you could go back to work the next day, if you have one week off it will be alot  easier, and you can get away with telling everyone you just had a marine haircut!

As for results.  It's too early to say.  I have a significant amount of small hair in the areas that were completely hairless.  The donor areas have all healed and now looks normal.  I did the unshaven technique, but the donor areas still get shaved to a 0.  I am optimistic and quite excited how it will turn out.  Feel free to post or PM if you have any questions.  Or ask me again in a few months when I can better rate the results.

Never heard of this doctor, but you should start a thread, I’d love to follow your progress.
