Regular Member KM90 Posted August 10, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted August 10, 2020 7 months post-op So today is my 7 month mark and I was just at the barber and got a haircut. My barber who I've been going to for 2 years, had seen other clients with poor HT results and was really impressed with mine, especially with the donor area. Since the last post the density has increased a bit overall but especially in the crown area. I'm very happy with the results and barely think about hair loss anymore. Have also got more compliments as I go out and my confidence is boosted. I will probably not post as frequently from now on as it will most likely not be so much change from one month to another, but will try to post every 2-3 months. As for Fin&Min I'm still on both. 1 First hair transplant: 5078 FUE Grafts with Dr. Koray Erdogan, ASMED clinic, January 2020 Link: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/56016-5078-grafts-fue-910th-jan-2020-asmed-dr-koray-erdogan

Regular Member KM90 Posted October 16, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 16, 2020 9 months post-op Here is my 9 month update! I am very happy to see a lot of improvement in the crown area and also that the hair is getting much fuller overall. I hope that it will continue to improve even more in the coming months. I am still using Finasteride 1mg and Minoxidil liquid once a day. Regular Member KM90 Posted January 15, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2021 (edited) 12 months post-op So last week was my 1 year mark and here are some photos in different lighting. I feel there is some improvement in the crown area but other than that not much difference since the last update. I am very happy with the outcome 😁 Still using Finasteride 1mg and Minoxidil liquid once daily. Thanks 🙂 Yes you are right, hoping for some improvement in the next 6 months. I think my donor also looks OK in case I would decide to improve the crown in the future. I should have 3200 grafts left. -- If I would do another HT I might also consider filling in the temples a bit and lowering the hair line slightly, but my friends have told me it wouldn't look natural. What do you guys think? Senior Member Britanium Posted January 15, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted January 15, 2021 I would be careful with lowering it anymore, the current hairline looks spot on to me. Can you boost the temples ? Yes but if you have about 3200 grafts left then future planning is key. If it was me I would be saving them.

What do you guys think? You've had a great result for the front! The crown should continue to improve with fin so give it time. I wouldn't recommend lowering the hairline, especially at your age now starting your 30's it's perfectly normal to have a mature hairline. If you do opt for a second HT it should be to increase density in the existing transplant areas and around the crown but I wouldn't think of another HT so soon because you've had a nice result - enjoy what you have for a few years first and if it still bothers you later on in like 3-4 years then start thinking about it! If I was you I wouldn't even worry about my hair anymore, just keep taking your meds go enjoy your life my friend!

What do you guys think? I just checked your postop photos for your hairline density and the same at 1 year mark. Don’t spend your limited donor grafts tryin to fill in the temples or lowering your hairline. Instead, increase your frontline and crown density.
Regular Member KM90 Posted September 22, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted September 22, 2021 (edited) Hi guys, It has been a while since the last update, so thought to share some recent photos from my 20 month mark. Some other news is that I will be going to Istanbul again next month for another consultation with Dr. Erdogan and perhaps go for a 2nd surgery to improve the frontline and crown area I should have about 3200 grafts left and I am considering to do 2000-2800 grafts, depending on how the donor area looks since my last HT and what the doctor estimates. I want to be careful and not risk overharvesting as some scarring and gaps can be seen already even if primarily with short hair. I am thinking of adding some density in the front and also defining the angle of the hairline as I have marked on the photos below. What do you think about this? Not sure how many grafts would be needed, but maybe 200-500 If I would guess.. For the crown I am thinking about 1500-2500 grafts. In good lightning & styling it looks good and in bad lightning, without styling it looks worse. Overall I am actually not that much concerned about it and not necessarily looking for a full coverage but some improvement would be nice. Would be happy to hear your thoughts 20 months post-op Edited September 22, 2021 by KM90 Added one photo of the crown First hair transplant: 5078 FUE Grafts with Dr. Koray Erdogan, ASMED clinic, January 2020 Link: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/56016-5078-grafts-fue-910th-jan-2020-asmed-dr-koray-erdogan
Regular Member mxm56 Posted October 11, 2021 Regular Member Share Posted October 11, 2021 I think your hair looks great toward the front, i would definitely operate the crown thou. The hairline looks good, i think it would not be hard to further increase the density with a moderate number of units.
Valued Contributor Gatsby Posted October 11, 2021 Valued Contributor Share Posted October 11, 2021 For one pass I think you have achieved an incredible transformation. If you are concerned about the appearance of the donor have you considered Eugenix? With a mix of beard and scalp grafts you could achieve your goals with one final pass. Personally I think you look great already. I wouldn't lower the hairline IMHO. Senior Member Britanium Posted October 11, 2021 Senior Member Share Posted October 11, 2021 Already a amazing improvement, but another procedure to “tweak” the hairline and then address the crown would be even better ! With approx 3200 grafts left in the bank you should have no probs 👍🏽
Regular Member KM90 Posted October 30, 2021 Author Regular Member Share Posted October 30, 2021 Thanks for your inputs! I came home from Istanbul last week and did my 2nd surgery on 21 Oct 😁 Did 2800 grafts mostly on the crown area but also improved the density in the mid scalp and front line. Didn't lower the hair line but rather put grafts in between existing hairs.
