Regular Member Matthew86 Posted January 15, 2020 Regular Member Share Posted January 15, 2020 Hi everyone, I'm Carlo from the UK, and after recently hitting the 6-month mark after my surgery with Dr Resul Yaman in Istanbul Turkey, thought I would finally document my experience so far. Don't want to write too much here, as I've noticed that these forums often repeat themselves quite a bit, especially when most clinics in Turkey generally all offer the same all-inclusive packages, albeit differ in terms of quality and price. Ultimately I chose this doctor as I was really impressed over the amount of consistent amazing results, and from all the clinics I spoke to, this one offered me the most amount of grafts and said they could achieve full coverage in one session, as opposed to two sessions required by most of the other clinics I spoke with. The fact that this doctor had two major accreditations and over ten years experience and was very reasonably priced compared to other doctors with the same level of experience, thought this really was a no brainer. However, there are a few main points that I'd like to make, which are: 1) Before taking the plunge, I done my research for nearly two years, so was more than confident with my choice. 2) Communication with the clinic was great at all times 3) The doctor and staff were incredibly friendly and very down to earth 4) The surgery itself went smoother than expected, with no issues whatsoever 5) All necessary aftercare/support was provided and the clinic are still available even to this day whenever I need to reach out 6) In terms of honesty, when the doctor assessed my donor area he said that due to it being better than he was able to initially make out from the photos that I had sent across from the UK, was able to perform 800 more grafts that initially quoted, at no extra cost. For me this was complete honesty, as I would have been non the wiser of how many grafts I needed as I am no doctor, and the fact they didn't ask for more money shows that the clinic were more concerned about getting the most from the surgery than making money. For me, this only confirmed that I had definitely made the right choice with a clinic I could trust. Overall, I had a fantastic experience with this clinic and would highly recommend, and based on my research found this clinic to be the most consistent than any other in Turkey. I will now leave you with some of my before and after photos, as I believe that's what people really want to see. Still some growth to come through on the left side of the photo - although bare in mind that this is still early days and I still haven't hit the 8-month mark yet, which will be next week. Anything else I can do to help, please just let me know, and you can follow my progress at www.thehairtransplantspecialist.com Many thanks and good luck! Regular Member Matthew86 Posted February 7, 2020 Author Regular Member Share Posted February 7, 2020 Apologies friend, didn't know what you were referring to. Please see the photo below that shows my hairline pre op - you'll notice that I was pretty much fully bald on the temple areas. I've also attached a photo of my crown area a week before the surgery for you to see. Hope this helps, and anything else I can do to help, please let me know Many thanks, Carlo

Senior Member gbhscot Posted February 11, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted February 11, 2020 Looks great mate. I was also at Dr Yaman last july - It seems that you also didn't have so much shedding, am I right? I didn't have much either, curious whether this is to do with Dr Yamans implanter tool - any thoughts?

You look like a totally different person 😇 CONGRATS! What are your impressions? You 100% satisfied? Would you go for a new one to touch-up anything? Also, could you share some photos on the outside? Based on my research I felt that Dr Yaman was one of, if not the, best doctors in Turkey and all the evidence pointed to this clinic. Do you have any photos of your results that we could perhaps see? I did yes, I bought a 8-month course of the multivitamins, which includes saw palmetto, from the clinic themselves. And not sure what you mean by spray, but I also used the 2 foam lotions provided by the clinic - one that you apply 15 minutes before shampooing, and the other which is the foam shampoo itself. Hope this helps Best wishes, Carlo
