Is this CVG?

Hi I'm a 20 year old woman. And I just shaved my head because I was dealing with some hair growth issues, I've always noticed the wrinkles in my head but I was never aware of them being weird until my mother brought it up, so I started looking it up and found out about CVG but apparently it's rare or maybe it depends on the severity of it but I'm not sure if I have it or not. I feel somewhat insecure about it to be honest and regret cutting my hair so low.

I don't know what hair growth issues you had that made you want to cut your hair so short in the first place, but if there's no real problem there than simply letting your hair grow for the next month or two should allow the CVG issues to resolve itself as far as it being visible.

Hi All-

I also just found out I have CVG. It's nice knowing I'm not alone here.  I have a question that I'm hoping someone might be able to answer.

In addition to CVG m hair is thinning from mpb and I am concerned that my CVG will become more apparent.  I am considering jumping on Finasteride to slow the progression. However, I have read that CVG can sometimes be a result of hormonal issues. Do you know if Finasteride could potentially make CVG worse or exacerbate it? I am wondering if you know if this ever happens, as I imagine Finasteride could potentially effect hormonal levels? Before I jump on treatment I would want to make sure this is not a possibility, as I have heard CVG can be progressive.   Also, do you know how common it is for CVG to progress? Any help would be greatly appreciated.   @Spanker Do you have thoughts on this by chance?
