Regular Member Yaro Posted December 17, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted December 17, 2019 Saw the clinic today and while it is not critical I was advised to massage the scalp more thoroughly, as well as increasing the number of washes Personally, it doesn't seem so bad and I had trouble understanding if this is much of a concern. Initially I was thinking that I am experiencing faster recovery than usual due to a younger age but now not sure what's the verdict Attaching imagery just in case What's your experience in regards to redness? Regular Member IronGymmer Posted December 17, 2019 Regular Member Share Posted December 17, 2019 It looks pretty normal, barely noticable. You have light skin so redness can last a while, I wouldn't be worried about it

It's not the red spots which I'm talking about but the clinic specialist said the area in general is red.
Senior Member sl Posted December 18, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted December 18, 2019 Scalp redness is normal where grafts are placed, there is neo-vascularity and redness is part of it also with inflammation. Usually artificial light and camera makes it look worse than in natural light but I don't see anything to worry about in this photo and people heal also at different rates. It will continue to fade but seems barely noticeable in this photos. Heal well. I represent Dr. Bisanga. Senior Member pkipling Posted December 20, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted December 20, 2019 I also don't think there's anything to be concerned about, and I would just take this as a bonus tip from the doctor about how to even better care for your scalp. You seem to be healing perfectly fine and right on track! I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff.
