Autologous PRP Treatment Can Work: Carlos K. Wesley, MD (NYC/LA)

This patient underwent an autologous (her own) platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatment with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley.  

 

With this non-surgical approach to treating hair loss, the patient was able to reverse the biologic course of the thousands of miniaturized follicles atop her head and generate more hair fullness.  Dr. Wesley previously delivered

I am thinking about PRP and I don't see that much a difference here.

There's a definite narrowing of the part line here; more "solid" and less jagged. This lady doesn't look like she was suffering major hair loss to begin with, but the frontal part line was probably the most noticeable area of thinning, and that seems to have filled in fairly well.

I do see a slight thickening. I’ve read minoxidil works better in women than men. Was this patient advised to try minoxi?
