Hi all,

after bothering many of you with questions and getting a lot of help from this forum I decided and got my HT done on the 02/09/2019 at Armamed with Dr. Demirsoy.

I hope my case will help those guys that are in the same shoes I was months/years ago so please feel free to ask me any question!

Any feedback and/or comment is very welcome!

Congrats on your transplant my friend.

Just sent my online consultation form yesterday.. i'm planning on doing it with Demirsoy

How was your overall experience?

Hi mate, thanks!

Everything went fine and easy, it felt more like going to the dentist 😉

Anesthesia was pretty painful, after that felt almost nothing. Post op is going well with no issues.

Muzaffer was very helpful and friendly, always ready to help, he is a big asset for that clinic !

Results will tell;-)!

Day 8, all scabs are gone.

Started moisturizing yesterday with Bephantol, repeated about 5times. Today after a warm long shower scabs went off very softly and easily!

Now I'm scabs free and I can clearly see the redness 😉

Looks nice and clean. Keep that scalp out of the sun! I mentioned it a while back for myself, but I found hats like this one on the Geek (Wish) app for like $3-5. It took like 3-5 weeks to deliver, but it was nice. I only wish (no pun intended haha) that I had gotten it sooner. It helped greatly with dealing with the redness and the ugly phase. My fair skin kept the redness for 4 months or so. I got my hat in all gray and it looks great. @HLPToronto originally recommended the hat style, and I loved it. Fall is here, so you'll look in season by the time it arrives. Or I guess you could drop $10 or so for next day shipping with Amazon or something. Just a thought. Happy to hear you took the plunge! I'll be following along!

Hi guys,

Here below the 25days post op pics.

Shedding started at day 14 but in the last 5days increased dramatically! Scalp is still quite red and skin is peeling and feel very dry even though I'm using emu oil and aloe Vera alternatively.

So now I am basically like before the surgery. I know it's normal but as many of you know it's not fun, especially thinking that it will take many months now to improve!

I see other patients usually shedding after 4-5weeks....why did it happen so early to me? Does it mean anything?

I am currently taking Biotin, MSM, Finasteride, saw palmetto a d multivitamin. Will start Minoxidil next week.

Please let me know what you think!

Hi guys,

another quick update without much to report apart from my crown area which looks much worse than before ht! Can it be shock loss?

I can see few sprouts but I don't know if they are native or transplanted.

Redness has diminished but still very visible.

Few pimples just popped up also these days for the first time.

Itchy donor but fortunately not so itchy recipient.

I'm not worrying too much atm but can't wait to see something to happen!

Let me know what you think.

All of these are normal.

It is far too early to worry about the sprouts being native or not. I had a sprout that grew to .5cm and stopped for like 5 months haha! Didn't grow at all. I can't find it now, so it either fell out or grew to length. Point is, don't worry about it til at least the 6 month mark. You'll drive yourself crazy if you do.

Redness lasted a very long time for me, maybe 3+ months of "some" redness over normal scalp color. It goes with the territory of being pale.

Hopefully you don't pop them, but I also only had a few. Normal again.

I had a really itchy donor too. Try patting it gently. It'll relieve the "itch" without damaging /infecting the scalp using nails.

You're now at the point where you'll be improving by leaps and bounds!

No more itching and the redness is slowly fading away.

I can definetely see some new hair so I stay positive and just wait 😉

Good progress, right on track! This is where you are going to see consistent improvements just about weekly. In 1-2 months, you'll have pretty good coverage so that you'll look good from the front profile view, which is the most important view. The top view is good, but not really indicative of the progress HTs give, which is changing the appearance, which again, is from the front profile point of view.
