Senior Member gillenator Posted August 30, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted August 30, 2019 It appears to be diffused thinning and if it were me, I would seek advice with a reputable doctor regarding hair loss meds. Senior Member LaserCap Posted August 30, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted August 30, 2019 Agree, diffused loss. The other issue is the fact you have dark hair and light scalp. The contrast is not helping either. RUN to a specialist and, at least, start talking about medical therapy and how this can help you retain the native hair. You have a lot of hair no doubt, but you were already thinning. Now that you have shaved your head it is noticeable because you can no longer layer your hair to cover your scalp. If I shaved my head I would look the same way. 1 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. I do not receive any compensation from any clinic. My comments are not medical advice. Senior Member Legend007 Posted August 31, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted August 31, 2019 Don’t ever shave against the grain again .. I had a couple scars in the back from bad haircuts by bad barbers using the shaver.. hair never grew back from those areas.. when I looked at ur pic with the two of u .. I thought u was the bald one .. n that dude definitely looked like he was thinning .. I think most of ur hairs will grow back however .. U have a full head of hair .. don’t worry about it too much .. n why would U shave ur head when u had such nice hair ..

Shaving it did not create the problem. It confirmed what you thought before shaving it.... that you didn't have enough hair for your liking. If you let it grow long again it should look like it did before unless you have very aggressive hair loss. Then it may not get back to where it was because it's getting worse as time goes by (again this has nothing to do with shaving it). It's not really bad right now, so what you need to do is look into minoxidil and propecia (finisteride). Those will help you keep the hair you have and possibly grow some back. You may also want to look into a dermapen (or dermaroller, dermastamp) as it looks like those may work according to some recent members here who have been trying it. 1 Al Forum Moderator (formerly BeHappy) I am a forum moderator for hairrestorationnetwork.com. Thanks for helping, but i am sceptical about using finestride. Also some say after stopping mynoxidil treatment my hair will start falling again, so that concerns me. I wud like to have prp session though. Wat u suggest Edited September 3, 2019 by Ysr
