Steven Gabel, MD, FACS
This 31-year-old male had 2084 grafts via the FUE (follicular unit excision) harvest method. He had spent much time in the past worrying about his thinning hair since high school. His main concern was the frontal zone of the scalp. We decided on the FUE harvest method since he likes to be able to trim his hair short in the back of his scalp for styling purposes. Additionally because of his age, we felt that the FUE harvest method would be in his best interest long term so he could style his hair shorter in the back of the scalp. The patient had 2084 grafts performed 2 years ago. The photographs and video show the results and longevity of the procedure for which he is extremely happy. At the 2-year visit, the patient stated, “Now, I don’t worry about what my hair looks like, in fact, I don’t think about it at all.” He is planning on returning on a yearly basis to follow the progress and growth of his hair. 1 Steven Gabel, MD, FACS, FISHRS Diplomate, American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery Diplomate, American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Diplomate, American College of Surgeons Gabel Hair Restoration Center Portland, Oregon 503-693-1118 Email Dr. Gabel directly at drgabel@gabelcenter.com Dr. Gabel's Website Dr. Steven Gabel is a member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. Senior Member HLPToronto Posted June 16, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted June 16, 2019 Great results, looks very natural with relatively small # of grafts used, it seems perfectly implanted and all grafts survived
Senior Member Mycroft Posted June 16, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted June 16, 2019 Wow, that's a stark transformation for just over 2,000 grafts. Very impressive.
