Effects of fue procedure on density of hair on donor area?

I think fue is more density condumer, so to say, than fut even though in fut or strip one or two cms are taken. In fue a large number of holes in a large area allows a better donor and recipient balance than that one in the fut procedure in individuals like me with a low donor density  (like 56 grafts per cm2).

I have noticed no difference in my donor are and I have had FUT and FUE.  Of course I do not wear my hair short.

A lot of this depends on what type of donor you start out with. If you have a better than average donor density and thick hairs then you probably won't notice any difference in density after several thousand FUE grafts because that would just bring you down to an average donor density which most people have anyway. The same is true for FUT. If you have a lot of thick, dense donor then taking a strip from there then the scar will probably not be noticeable even if it isn't the best scar because the dense hair surrounding it will easily cover it.

If you have less than average donor density then the coverage afterwards from both FUE and FUT may end up being less than desirable, but of course, a lot of this depends on the Dr, FUE punch size, and how well the procedure is performed, etc as well.
