Ketoconazole shampoo after hair transplant

I've had hair transplant 3 weeks ago.  My doc told me it is fine to use a shampoo with Ketoconazole in it after the second week post op.  However,  I just read some posts here from people warning against use of Nizoral or Ketoconazole containing shampoo for as long as 8-9 months.   

I have used Ketoconazole (not Nizoral but another brand containing Ketoconazole,  I believe 1% ) for years and it completely helps with my dandruff (SD).  Now I'm a little hesitant to use it even though I'm 3 weeks post op.

Does anyone have any actual information that supports not to use Ketoconazole containing shampoo post op?

You are absolutely fine to use it by now. Don't worry. 

 

You'd only need to worry if it was irritable to you. As you have used it for years, it clearly isn't.
