Biofibre synthetic hairs

Don't do it. This is banned in the USA since around the early 1990s due to infections, scars, and other problems that it causes. What they do is attach synthetic hairs to small metal (could be a different material they use now) anchor tubes that get implanted into your head. You have to have 1000's of these implanted just like you would if it was real hair being transplanted in order to give you coverage.

Over time the hairs break off or fall out and you have to get the procedure done again. This requires the Dr to pull out the anchors and then replace them with a new set with new synthetic hairs attached.

The possible and documented problems are infections due to many foreign objects permanently inserted into the skin, pain from them, permanent scarring when they are removed, long term effects from metallic substances from the anchors getting into the blood stream, etc.

Don't do it.

I just looked it up and found this. Looks like it was the 80's rather than the 90's but I was just going be memory in what I wrote in my previous post. I hope the moderators allow this link as it's not promotional

Initially this type of hair replacement caught on like wild fire before all of the pitfalls were realized....:S
