Upshall
Should Laterla slits be used all throughout the hairline or just to blend in the temple points? Also do all the doctors recommended on this website use them?
orange_j
From research that I have read, it seems that the lateral slit technique is used to achieve better coverage with less grafts. As the hair grows out laterally, it can cover more scalp than if it were protruding straight up vertically. I cant comment as to which surgeons use this method exclusively or specifically on what region on the head it is used mostly.
Senior Member gillenator Posted March 15, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted March 15, 2019 It really depends on the merits of each individual case and what is being achieved. I think many docs use a combination of them. Gillenator Independent Patient Advocate I am not a physician and not employed by any doctor/clinic.
