Dr.UGraft ™ Procedure Uses Leg and Nape Hair to Construct New Right Eyebrow and Beard For Teen With Congenital Nevus

This teenager lost his right eyebrow and beard hair growth due to the placement of skin grafts that replaced a large congenital nevus mole. Dr.U accepted this young man’s case through his pro bono organization, The Hair Peace Foundation. Due to the fine quality of the patient’s existing eyebrow and beard hair (on the left side), it became absolutely necessary to select the closest graft match. In the end, this would create a natural looking symmetrical appearance on both sides of the face.

Dr.U utilized his Dr.UGraft ™ technology to harvest leg and nape hair as viable grafts for the reconstruction of this patient’s eyebrow and beard hair. Through Dr.U's screening tool, the FUE Shave Test, this patient was found to be eligible for the use of nape hair as permanent, long term grafts.

This Intuitive FUE system is optimally engineered for all types of hair extractions. It is designed to respond appropriately to different skin thicknesses, a variable that Dr.U has concluded to be more closely related to graft transection than hair shaft curliness, based on his own direct experience performing surgeries on patients of many different ethnicities.
