Senior Member Betterhair Posted March 3, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted March 3, 2019 I had a FUT 10 years ago, supposedly 2000 grafts in front. Another FUT last year , 2500 grafts in front My hair is very thick and medium curl. I prefer FUT over FUE and I just need to know if its possible to have another FUT for my crown, assuming 2000 grafts.
Upshall
It all depends on your own very specific donor characteristics. I’m surprised your doctor hasn’t gone over this with you

Senior Member Spaceman Posted March 3, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted March 3, 2019 Unfortunately you’ll need an in person consultation to properly answer the question. Some people do have three strip procedures. Assuming you have enough donor capacity, it would depend on how much laxity you have left, and you’d have to have that checked by the surgeon. Senior Member gillenator Posted March 5, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted March 5, 2019 I had a total of 4 separate FUHT procedures...adequate scalp laxity for the size of the strip being considered is critical. My surgeon who did my last procedure elected to use staples to close my scalp because he felt my laxity was getting a bit tight. Although I did not like the staple closure, I did heal with a satisfactory strip scar. Your proposed surgeon would have to check your laxity on the day of your procedure unless you are able to have an in person exam before then...I also recommend scalp stretching exercises beforehand.
