Hair Miniturization Length Question

In regards to the process where a hair follicle is miniturized by DHT and it gets weaker, thinner, and smaller over time...

Will the hair eventually get shorter and shorter until nothing sprouts anymore?

Is it safe to say a hair suddenly won’t go from 1in long to being dead and gone forever after it sheds? It will gradually shed and regrow from 1in to .9in to .8in, etc..? until it reaches 0?

Does what I’m asking make sense?

Eh... if a hair only gets to 1 inch before it sheds without being cut, it's pretty much visually insignificant. No...if wont go from 1 in to .9, .8 etc.  It can go faster than that. If it was that slow ...and your growth phase dropped to even 6 months, it would take 50 years to go bald.
