Sadsurfer
I have recently undergone an FUE transplant procedure and am curious as to when I can shave my donor/recipient area post surgery date? Any opinions appreciated greatly! Cheers
Senior Member pkipling Posted January 31, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted January 31, 2019 I would discuss this with your doctor, as each surgeon will have different protocol for this, but as a general rule, the grafts are fully anchored after 2 weeks. There's a study that shows the first 72 hours being the most crucial in terms of the grafts surviving/being anchored, and by week 2, they're all set. Then it's just a matter of being very careful and meticulous when buzzing it so as not to damage other parts of your scalp. I am a patient advocate for Dr. Parsa Mohebi in Los Angeles, CA. My views/opinions are my own and don't necessarily reflect the opinions of Dr. Mohebi and his staff. Check out my hair loss website for photos FUE surgery by Dr. Mohebi on 7/31/14 2,001 grafts - Ones: 607; Twos: 925; Threes: 413; Fours:
