Is there a reason this patient isn't on any drugs to combat further loss? Dr Lupanzula will always recommend medication to slow down/stabilise future loss but ultimately it comes down to the personal wishes of the patient. After donor capacity is calculated and age factored in the patient can make an informed decision on whether or not to take medication, knowing that future surgery may be required.
