Administrators Melvin- Admin Posted January 22, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 22, 2019 What is the craziest things you guys have heard, I recently overheard someone at my gym talking about hair loss and how exercise could improve blood circulation and stop hair loss. I was tempted to interject and explain why that's not really possible, but I figured hey if that motivates someone to get fit and healthy who am I to say anything haha. I'd love to hear some stories, so guys feel free to share. Stop Hair Loss With Exercise Fact or Fiction? 1 I’m a paid admin for Hair Transplant Network. Bill - Seemiller
Only in rare cases when hair loss is due to extreme health related issues could exercise along with a healthy diet restore this non genetic type of hair loss. But other than that, as you all know, it’s just not possible.

Senior Member LaserCap Posted October 8, 2019 Senior Member Share Posted October 8, 2019 Standing on your head or using some apparatus to turn you upside down so blood flows in the direction of your head. Heard this throughout my career a number of times.
Senior Member duchaine Posted January 25, 2020 Senior Member Share Posted January 25, 2020 at HLC they suggest not training for 4 weeks because they are scared that the blood goes from scalp to arms and legs. Obviously this is completely non sense. But it is funny to see that gym maniac suggest that WL increase hair density and lazy people think that WL think can be harmful for hair growth!
gipdip
Definitely doesn't work, I would know If anything, overtraining could speed up hair loss (I believe this) 1
Senior Member mavigo Posted November 22, 2022 Senior Member Share Posted November 22, 2022 If that's the case, my hair loss should've stopped 15 years ago! I've actually heard that exercising increases hair loss. But not exercising will cause problems that are far worse. Unfortunately when it comes to MPB, there's a lot of disinformation. Regular Member WhereIsMyMind Posted December 16, 2022 Regular Member Share Posted December 16, 2022 Well the main rationale is that strenous and vigurous excercise raises Testosterone (research proven), which will subsequently raise DHT a bit. But in reality, what is most probable is that if you go really really hardcore excercise regimen (we're talking NAVY seal stress/anxiety level), it's common to get Telogen Efflivium from shock stress, which is not permanent hair loss. All in all, since most of us are not extreme athletes or NAVY seals I think we can totally forget about excercise correlations with hair loss. Hair doesn't matter if you die anyway 😁

Hair doesn't matter if you die anyway 😁 It's basically pseudo-scientific cynicism. Die if you do, die if you don't. Stop exercising and "save your hair". Then suffer from diseases associated with sedentary life styles like obesity, cardio-respiratory disease, mental health symptoms, etc; which ultimately leads to a more miserable, shorter, lower quality life. In short, physical activity is unrelated to MPB. It's genetic, exercise or no exercise; you're going bald. 1 FUE 2400 Grafts (2023) - Dr. Panine; Chicago Hair Transplant Clinic FUT 1400 Grafts (2019) - Dr. Steven Paul Holt; Holt Hair Restoration/Bella
Regular Member 4chanhue Posted September 26, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted September 26, 2023 I think healthy lifestyle, including lifting weights and eating right food should slow down progression of MPB compared to staying on the couch and eating junk. Better blood circulation, lower stress, lower cortisol are probably good for slowing down hair loss.
Regular Member hairman4321 Posted October 3, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted October 3, 2023 its been shown that people who do regular cardio have better blood flow - and we know better blood flow helps with hair (minoxidil, people here taking viagra / cailis in low doses post-HT) i think it can be defs over done though IMO. Regular Member Rasputin Posted October 9, 2023 Regular Member Share Posted October 9, 2023 I knew a guy from Kyrgyztan who showed me a Whatsapp group created by an Indian guy named Sukrut Khambete, this guy was selling a method to regrow hair, including things like listening to "subliminals". There is litteraly one picture of him "listening" to one of this "subliminal" to decrease DHT and T in the scalp, and to avoid the side effects, he just put his headphones on his scalp instead of his ears. That looked quite far-fetched.
